Morphs should be reversable for gold

We really need to be able to purchase individual morph points. You often have to make decisions between various kinds of content when picking morphs….PvP, PvE, Solo, Group etc. But you aren’t only going to play one kind of content. I want my char to be as effective in PvP as in a dungeon so I need to be able to change the morphs without having to spend my entire gold reserve every time I want to change the odd morph to better suit what I am doing. I don’t want to change the skills I have chosen just the morph because they all lean in one direction or the other making them much more effective in different content.

I heartily endorse this idea. I can understand the rationale behind making a respec change ALL your skills and I'm fine with that (more or less). But the thing is, you can always get NEW skill points if you made a "mistake" in choosing your skills, so you don't HAVE to respec.

But with a Morph choice, you cannot gain more skill points and choose the OTHER morph later on --- you're STUCK with it, except by paying to respec ALL your skills and morphs. It seems excessive, especially considering you may not realize how a morph will play out until you USE it and then it's too late to make the OTHER choice.

The idea is that being non-reversible (except by respec) you're supposed to think about it more, before you make said choice.

Not that I'm against reversing it if you make the wrong decision, but if they do that they need to limit it to once before going for a full respec.

The issue is that the tooltips for the morphs are so ridiculously vague.

For example, Encase morphed for the explosion after it ends shows a similar tooltip damage as Impulse, which would make you think it's good.

Then you waste the points, and the morph's damage turns out to be complete garbage damage. As in, it doesn't even do 10% of a mob's HP. Barely does 5%,

And this goes for a lot of the morphs.

Take ball of lightning. It would make you think you become a ball of lightning, but what it actually does is drop a ball of lightning itself on an area after bolt escape.

personally I would love it if you could buy BOTH morphs, and choose which one you want to have at a given time (kind of like skill runes in D3... yea I went there).

and yes, fix the tooltips possibly or let us 'preview' a skill first.

The problem is the game is all about exploring different builds, that's why they only gave us 4 archetypes but let us mix and match almost all of the skills. Having to pay huge sums of money to respec makes NO sense in that context, it takes away the ability to experiment. Why are we being punished for experimenting with different builds?

For me its not about making a mistake. Most of the morphs are geared towards specific content. E.G the nightblade ability Ambush is good for single target and PvP but it's other morph Lotus Fan is good for group PvE. I don't want to have to gimp my toon out of one kind of content once I make a decision on a morph. Morphs should be reversible for a decent amount of gold, say 1000 gold to reverse a morph. That way I can customise my build to the content I am choosing to play but still have the choice to modify it when the content changes or I decide to play different content.

The issue is that respec in this game is insanley overpriced. Instead of respecing all your skills, you should be able to only respec one skill tree at a time. I find the respec cost to be the biggest issue, as I don't feel like testing skills because it is an annoying waste of 1 or 2 skill points if it is not good for my build.

Not enough information to make an informed choice and no backsies.
    Needs fixing ASAP.

They should add a shrine in the temples that allow you to reverse a single morph for a smaller cost... like 500g.

The current system is horrible for experimenting and also the skills in this game are so different from their tooltips that I think the high cost is not justified.

Bump for an excellent suggestion. The "I chose poorly" on a couple of morphs should not carry a full respec penalty. Also you may want to tailor or experiment with your morphs for different builds.

I hate how I have to choose pvp or pve on my morphs. I want to do both effectively, but it is not worth 25k gold to swap back and forth.
You earned the 500 LOLs badge.
You received 500 LOLs. It ain't no fluke, you post great stuff and we're lucky to have you here. +50 points

Excellent suggestion. For example Lotus Fan in PvE and Ambush in a PvP build (even without the stun).

Yeah, I just respecced due to broken NB skills and playstyle change. It gets expensive fast. It would have been nice to not have to pay 15k to respect 5 skills where the morph simply did not work.

    Signed!

The situation with NBs is really poor.

Messed up tool tips... Bugged skills and passives...

Something needs to change, there's some good suggestions here already.

Great suggestions, most players actually all agree... but is anyone listening?
