Cancelling ESO Plus and Purchasing the Game disk. Will I lose my characters?

I currently have ESO Plus and I have MS Gamepass (Ultimate) which allows me to play ESO.

However, I am going to cancel my ESO Plus subs and also downgrade my MS Gamepass to Gamepass for Console - which doesn't allow me to play ESO (I know, I've tried it).

So my question is this, once I have done this - if I buy the ESO disk and install it on my Xbox, will I lose my ESO Characters?

No, you will not lose your characters by cancelling ESO Plus or by downgrading Gamepass.

Hi. You will still need online access to play ESO.

As long as the account is the same, you will not lose access to the characters on the account. If you create a new account, you will not have access to those characters.
