Warden bear cosmetics

Why not add many of the bear skins to the warden bear? Right now we only have brown and slate grey. Why not have black bears, polar bears, and masked bears. Have some wild ones like lizard-bears for argonian wardens or lizard lovers. Or atronach bears. I feel this could be a cool addition.

With the amount of times I see this topic, it's a wonder why we haven't seen more ability skins yet.

    Maybe one day.

The Special Collections Tab is such untapped potential. If I were Zos I would start added all types of Ability Cosmetics. Different Bears. Turn your Bear into a Giant Wolf or Tiger.

Allowing for different effects to look different.

Mag Shulks turning into like a bunch of Ice Glacier Spikes. there's a bunch of things that would be cool. And Zos is just sitting on it.

I'd imagine it has to do with their monetization design. They don't like adding permanent things into the cash shop, opting for limited run items that come and go to create artificial scarcity, and adding cosmetics like these to Crown Crates would probably cause backlash they don't want. Alternative animations, or in the case of Warden, Sorc, or Necro, alternative pet models, would be great for the game, but they'd need to add a number of them to the cash shop as permanent features, then start releasing the limited ones, and with their monetization, they probably find it to be more of a hassle to do. They wouldn't release this content for free, that's for sure, so they're probably just hung up on how they might implement something like this and are unable to make a decision.

This, and not just the mag morph, i'd want both of the morphs like this or with branches/thorns sprouting from the ground. Obviously selectable, i'm sure there're people who like the bomb beetles

I don't see why any of that is a reason they can't do it. Even if they had to follow that pattern for some reason they've done it before with other customisation options (which I'm assuming is where you got the idea it's some kind of requirement).

Look at mounts for example: at first we just had 4 available in-game (and 1 in the Imperial Edition) then when the crown store came out they added some, at least 2 of which have been permanently available. Later on they added a bunch of ones which cycle in and out, and ones exclusive to crown crates. As they added new mount types other than horses they also added permanently available versions of those (like the Highland Wolf and Pride-King Lion), in addition to temporary ones.

With other cosmetics they've added only ones that get swapped in and out of the crown store. There's been 3 different plant gathering animations added and none of them are currently available. And of course they didn't add all 3 at once, we only had 1 at first, then it was swapped for another one, and so on.

Considering how often players have asked for more bear (and sorcerer pet) customisation options, including some people specifically asking for them to go into the crown store, I don't think there would be much of a backlash if it was only temporarily available at first. I think most players who care would just be happy to see it at all.

I despise the bear. It doesn’t at all fit with the Morrowind theme of the other summons. I would want an alit or nix-ox.

I also think it would be great if ALL the pets came in themes for different regions, not that you should be locked in by your race choice, but could choose what you feel best fits your character. :)

I agree, the warden skills are a weird mix of what was planned when it was originally going to be a base game class and then trying to re-work it to tie it into being released with Morrowind and the end result is a bit of a mess IMO, especially since the lore is all about Y'ffre and The Green (mainly, but not exclusively, associated with the bosmer).

It would be nice to have options that allow us to tie it all together, either swapping the bear out for something Morrowind themed or changing the other skills. I'm really hoping the upcoming scribing system will be able to do that, since cosmetic changes to existing skills were mentioned.

My warden is a breton who trained with the Wyrds but didn't fully commit to being a Wyress, and at the moment I have to just try to ignore the inexplicable Morrowind theming on a lot of the skills. I'd love to be able to change the bear for a wolf (which is what Wyresses, and spriggans, summon) and change some of the other skills too.

I'd much prefer a wolf on my warden.

But I'd also prefer he have one theme, nature...even though my goal with him has been to make a solid performing ice mage (which has not happened).

Warden would have been cooler if the tanking tree had branches that went around the shield, or branches that surrounded the player for shields, all that kind of stuff.

The ice tree has always felt disconnected which has made the class feel at odds with itself.

I always felt like they released Warden with Morrowind because of Vvardenfell.

With them coming out with the STYLING option with Gold Road release, perhaps they will start including more options for bear re-skin options. I too would love to see some available changes for our beloved bear, but don't stop there, we could also add new skin options for Sorc pets too.

Maybe at some point in the future, we can buy a whole new skin for our companions too... they could keep the same name and voice... but give us options to change their complete physical appearance. This way they wouldn't have to keep adding NEW companions, but would give us the option to change the companions we already have. They would be the same 'person' but just look different. Just a thought.

I love all the possibilities that Styling could bring, I just hope that they don't put these styles in difficult content that the majority of gamers don't play or would struggle at completing.
