Ball in the bases in Deeping Drome

not the spawn point but a ledge next to the base, and attempting to jump there caused environment damage

How did they reach there? What can be done?

BGs have countless bugs that have been reported time and time and time and time again - none of them ever get fixed.

Chaos Ball is one of the worst offenders. Off the top of my head you can:

- Make the ball completely disappear for the entire match
- Pick up the ball but have it disappear on your character, taking no damage whatsoever and hiding the ball visually leaving only the compass indicator to show who has it
- Glitch the ball into your spawn
- Take the ball to a spawn-protected ledge in Deeping Drome
- Abuse 2 specific spots on Ald Carac to clip through the geometry and go outside of bounds with the ball, making it difficult for people to even target you or get near you
- Abuse a spot on the Imperial City BG map to teleport to the top of the building out of bounds

ZOS will never fix these; they've all existed since the inception of BGs despite countless reports by the BG community. Screenshot and report, but don't hold your breath

@CameraBeardThePirate you forgot the hole on the ledge in Foyada Quarry that you can jump up and into and avoid damage while dropping tons of AOEs on anyone who tries to jump onto the ledge
