Why am I getting 19 XP from a Novice NPC win and 20 XP from an Expert win?

According to old (seemingly outdated) sources I should be getting way way higher XP than that; was XP gain changed to be based on game duration or something?
There's no way drastically more difficult opponents should give the same XP as the easiest right?

✭✭✭✭✭i havent paid much attention to the xp gain since im already rank 8 (max), but i can tell you that the AI between novice/proficient/expert/master are like 85-90% identical and they all feel pretty easy for the most part lol0 -

✭✭The difference in difficulty between "easy" novice and "hard" expert is about the same as the XP difference. I play expert because the novice NPC takes forever to play each turn. Expert moves faster.0
