I've done it before, but it was the day I bought it, or very soon after, immediate regret but they let me refund it.
I purchased Fogbreak Lighthouse the day it released in the crown store because I thought it was perfect. Huge open island with great ocean view...But I just now got around to trying to decorate and it is just a pain, I've realized it is too big, way too much space (the ceiling limit is insane!) for only 700 slots to furnish, I just can't continue trying. Has anyone successfully refunded after this long of owning a house?

The successful builds I've seen at Fogbreak all used a closed-off part of the plot to make something new.
Per the crown store previews, it seems they consider "Furnished" to mean a few items scattered around with a ton of empty space in between

The house went live April 6, 2023, nearly 10 months ago.

i managed just fine, i turned mine into a island town
but if you ever feel a house is to big just find a spot you really like and decorate the crap out of it and cut off the rest, i did the same thing with my psygic villa0 -

✭✭✭✭✭With these large houses you have to just pick an area and focus on that. Usually the entrance areas to the properties and the main room of the home. The rest just ignore. Maybe put a few animals walking around to add some interest to the areas you ignore.
