Refunding a house.

I've done it before, but it was the day I bought it, or very soon after, immediate regret but they let me refund it.

I purchased Fogbreak Lighthouse the day it released in the crown store because I thought it was perfect. Huge open island with great ocean view...But I just now got around to trying to decorate and it is just a pain, I've realized it is too big, way too much space (the ceiling limit is insane!) for only 700 slots to furnish, I just can't continue trying. Has anyone successfully refunded after this long of owning a house?

Highly doubtful, though of course it can't hurt to try?

The successful builds I've seen at Fogbreak all used a closed-off part of the plot to make something new.

Per the crown store previews, it seems they consider "Furnished" to mean a few items scattered around with a ton of empty space in between :/

The house went live April 6, 2023, nearly 10 months ago.
No, I do not think they will give you a refund.

i managed just fine, i turned mine into a island town

This looks great. Unfortunately for me, I got denied so I'll either leave it vacant with some feral animals running wild, or think of something else before Willow Pond distracts me. Thanks for the ideas.

With these large houses you have to just pick an area and focus on that. Usually the entrance areas to the properties and the main room of the home. The rest just ignore. Maybe put a few animals walking around to add some interest to the areas you ignore. Those super big statues can work in those area with minimal impact on housing limits.
