What happened with the Southern Cyrodiil?

I was looking at the map of Cyrodiil with a friend of mine, and he noticed something very curious... Southern Cyrodiil has become... Flat?

✭✭✭✭✭If I'm not mistaken, that area lies directly between the eastern and western Elsweyr gates, on the AD side. I'd be interested in knowing if similar topographical changes have been made in areas between the gates of other factions. Time to do some comparing.PC l NA

I looked and did not see anything out of the ordinary for the other two factions. Weird.
Also weird that this was moved to the Lore section. What lore does this affect??0 -

Well, I thought that was weird too. The post objectively has nothing about lore in it... I mean, it's a visual change to the game map... I don't think that qualifies as lore
And I also looked for another similar change on the map and couldn't find it.
