Quickslot Menu Doesn't Open With Custom Keybind - PC & Xbox Controller

I have long kept my Quickslot Menu bound to D-Pad Right, however one of the patches the game received within the past year seems to have broken this, in that while I can still use items currently selected in the Quickslot, the menu wheel itself does not open while the function is bound to a custom keybind. If I return to the default binding of D-Pad Up, everything functions fine, but my normal Quickslot button does not function properly regardless of what I do. I do not want to change my custom control scheme, but as it stands I am unable to use the Quickslot Menu properly. What can I do to fix this? Is this a bug? Will this be patched? Someone please help.

Not a bug, a custom feature. They changed to allow two separate buttons to bind with quickslots, the press button to use it and the hold down button to open the wheel. Since you're using Up Arrow you need to bind that twice, once as press Up arrow and a second bind as hold down UP arrow. You can make them different buttons too like Up arrow to use and the options button hold down to open the window.

You've misread what I posted. It is not broken on the Up button. Up is the default, and functions normally. I changed it years ago to the Right button. The right button no longer works, but if I change it back the the default (Up), that works, but my custom keybind of Right does not regardless of what I do.

That doesn't change my answer. Quickslots has two functions, an "on use" command and a "open wheel" command, when making a custom keybind for it you need to apply it to TWO buttons one for each functionality, it can be the same button or two different buttons. The first keybind is for the PRESS function, second keybind is for the HOLD DOWN function.

So you would do Keybind 1 to the Right directional key PRESS, Keybind 2 Right directional key HOLD DOWN.

That's not how the Quickslot works in my experience. A single button works, what doesn't work is when I change from the default for the controller specifically. Tap to use an item, Hold to bring up the wheel. In the Keybinds menu there is only the Quickslot Item option. Another option exists, but it only to open the Quickslot wheel while already in the Inventory menu. The Quickslot Item function works by just assigning a single key, and both functions are performed by that key. This is how it works with ANY keyboard keys I assign to the function, and how it also works with the default controller bind of Up. It is my custom controller bind of Right that does not function properly; any keyboard key works by just assigning the key to that function.

This is what mine looks like. I have it bound 3 different ways, the default Q, Numpad 7 for 12-key thumbpad on Razer Naga, and 2 for controller the Press Options/Share button for "Use" command and HOLD Options/Share button for "open wheel" command. When it's a custom keybind, it needs a PRESS function and a HOLD function because it can be different keys on the controller.

Why not try what I suggested, bind it twice. Once to the Press and a secondary with Holding the button.

It works now, but I really don't understand why this is suddenly set up to work this way, and only with controller buttons aside from the default.
