Epic reward for finishing second faction in vet mode !!

yes having finished the entire daggerfall covenant in vet mode i am summoned back to cadwell for what i feel is well deserved reward . i,m all excited as i head back to the harbourage... i click cadwell who tells me i,m a hero twice over!
(even tho i just spent the week helping the enemy,go figure)

and what is my reward.... a lvl 50 necklace and 5k xp. yes a neckalce i outlevelled before i even began the daggerfal campaign and the same reward as the trashiest quests give at vet 5.
who says vet mode is a hastily tacked on way to extend the levelling process. clearly they put a vast amount of effort into making sure we all feel suitably rewarded for doing an entire factions content in hard mode...... honestly what a slap in the face zenimax. are they trying to make me dislike this game?

after hitting vet 5 (nearly 6) hoesntly i enjoy the game less and less every day.. every vet lvl i feel weaker againt the things i need to kill. i have to virtually have an entire set up weapons and skills for each encounter. Which if its intended that we have to utilize so many skills so often why only 5 on the bar and no quik change button without a thrid party add-on?. TBH without the outfitter add-on i would have quit the game because of this. who wants to stop and change their skill bars manually every few minutes just to kill trash mobs... its horrible.

clearly this wasnt the intention when they designed the game otherwise they would have allowed us access to more skills at once or added a quik way to change and save set ups themselves.

    Its not that hard
i believe its people using rubbish builds that sail through normal content is the problem.

You could light attack your way through that and be fine but come up against harder stuff and you finaly realise your build is crap?

I am a 2h single target nb that can kill any vr mob non elite in less than 2 sec.
Yet ive seen other melee nbs attacking the same mobs and taking 20+ secs on each??!??? Thats not viable especially with 3+....
My single target burst dps was 1100 at vr3.
Or 450-500 on bosses with 10k hp or more.
This whole hp stacking i see people do does not pay off.

I stack stam and magika and i have 0 trouble with any solo pve.

the problem is if everything you say is right. is we end up going from lots of enjoyable viable ways to play with classes and skills and weapons , down to a few cookie cutter builds in order to be viable.. exactly what zenimax said they were strenously trying to avoid.

i,m sorry you hate any criticism of the game, and would like it silenced with glib remarks or by making the person criticising aspects of the game feel its they who have the problem , perhaps you should just not enter threads about it if it upsets you so?

This right there. That is the problem. you are doing it right, but I see it in the low level zones on alts. People are telling others to just stack their stat points into health, because you don't need anything else. I use a 2h Dk spec that use strictly the Draconic skill line, and then fighters guild on my other 2h weapon skill bar. I can usually burn through mobs pretty quickly, and if I use my werewolf ult I can tear apart whole camps 2-3 times over before I lose my transformation. The fact is people aren't realizing that without points in Stamina or Magicka you are gimping yourself on the damage side of things.

    Deja-vu?

i question anyone who chooses to go look for pics that add nothing to a thread in a vain attempt to gain notiriety on the forums.. boost your post count elsewhere or on a forum that caters to teens who dig that sort of thing perhaps?

No, I was explaining to you what's deja vu, seen as you don't seem to know.
    And that's a video
But if you want I can start posting pictures, they would probably be the most interesting thing in the whole thread :)

Yea I have a huge problem with having to think about my build every once in a while. I should just be able to sail through all the VR content with my Bow and nothing else for the free epics.

Look what you have done Blizzard, Trion, Anet, etc. Look at what you have wrought and weep for the future of humanity!

    This brings up several questions.
Why did you post this thread in New Player Questions section? Can a mod move this to the appropriate section? Why are you attacking people posting vague comments in your thread? Why would the OP try to turn his own thread aggressive on random posters?

People seem to not understand that VR is the 'harder' content....

You mean .... playing their way .... like the game was advertised?

Had they reworded that to "play your way .... as long as your way involves using cookie cutter builds" then we wouldn't be in this mess.

It's pretty much impossible for them to guarantee every single crazy combination of skills and stats is going to work and still make the content challenging.

Really all you'd be doing in trying to get this 'fixed' is dumbing down all content such that it could be beat with light and heavy attacks alone, likely.

The thing is, if your way of play involves making your character unspecialized, crappy, spread too thin, etc. You can't expect them to dumb down a games most difficult content just so your awful build can do "ok" can you?

You can play like you want, you just gonna have to work twice as hard if your 'build' is 'wrong'. Like already said, dumping all in Health will lead you to have the attack power of a stuffed animal

Stuff everything into health work if you use armor, enchants and food to cap the other stats.
My personal downside with veteran levels is no more Khajiit lore :(
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yea that's the thing, people will suggest stuff based on only half what the min/maxers are doing and not the entire picture. Then people follow half-ass advice and wonder why they're getting pwned.

The difficultly lvl goes up each vet lvl just as a FYI so if your not keeping up, then it's going too feel like that.

The more I read about higher vet levels, the less I want to continue.

Agree 100%, I am close to just not playing this game until they fix my NB skills and sort out the ridiculousness that is Bots, Public Dungeons, AH/or not AH and now the seemingly messed up VR levels etc...

Its not that, its the point that you need to be vet 10 to complete the quest line and the reward is a lvl 50 item that is obsolete so no use to you at all and this is not the first quest that is like that. The optimization is terrible in this game quests and boss drops also.

Also the word is that you do not need to complete cadwel to get to the new crag area so i waisted so my time and potions for an item that is worth 40 gold.....

well no i wasnt expecting an epic suit of armour , but for the love of good surely something that is actually the level you are when you arrive there would be the least they could sort out? christ you cant even break down jewellry for tempers.. its insta vendor trash for 40 gold.

tbh i havent done that but now i think on it isnt it simple logic to do so? dont you get 15 hp per point as opposed to only 10 magika or stam. if i,m right then 20 points in hp would get 300hp and you would only lose 200 magika/stam. much easier to make up with enchants than if you need to make up for a lack of hp later on
