Diving & underwater life

I don't think i'm the only one, but does anyone else ever get that feeling that while swimming something is gonna pull you under and fight you? Don't you get a little disappointed that it never happens?

I hope they add some life to the water parts of the world, quests that involve the ability to dive...now also consider the fact that plate wearers are currently as buoyant as a boat.

Well there is always the getting eaten by fishies if you go to deep. Just can't fight back

But ya, as unrealistic as it is, I do like underwater exploration while watching your breath etc. My wife laughs at me as when I'm close to drowning I actually hold my breath in real life and get stressed

I don't think there is a major benefit for this. In other Elder Scrolls games you could swim and fight creatures in the water, but the actual use of those mechanics in the games themselves was very limited.

I hate not being able to dive under water. Put chests underwater, or trunks, or something to loot. Or....nothing. Just let us dive for the heck of it. It's such a pet peeve when I can't do this in games, like invisible walls.

I haven't played a game yet that had good underwater combat. It's all significantly worse than land stuff, and am glad they didn't even bother trying here.

LOL! Nope! Growing up on the beach and sailing all over the Caribbean, I don't get that sensation at all!

But I would like to dive down and get a closer look at things on the bottom

I was disappointed I couldn't swim underwater and explore, find caves, shipwrecks, stuff like that. I hope they add diving eventually.

I want to be able to fight in the water.

Back in the day EQ was fun under water .. although combat sucked on land as well.
