DreadSail Reef [Normal] Player shrinking mech

I can't understand meaning of that effect.

Shrink and get back to original size after few moment. The NPC enemy suffer
same effect also(Just become larger than original size). What is that?
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

when you are shrunk, you deal less dmg and less healing, and take more dmg

the enemy when they get enlarged deal more dmg and take a little less dmg

edit to add: the other bad part of shrinking is you are "stuck" in the shrink/grow animation which could leave you in a bad spot if it wears off at the wrong time

and another note about being shrunk is that you will be doing "swim" animation in most water, even the shallow water, which could also be bad in some areas

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

OK, I see. But, what kind of mech make the player shrink?
Thunder?( There're thunder striking at the some area.) Or totally random?

Is there any of way to avoid those debuff effect?

theres a specific enemy that does it, something like potion master (one of the bigger guys with a banner)

when they do the effect, it creates 2 purple circles on the ground, you just avoid stepping in those to get shrunk (its harder to avoid if its targeting you because you have to get out of the area before their potion lands on the ground or it will still hit you)

It’s the Dreadsail Brewmaster that throws out potions on the ground, causing these effects if you stand in them.
