Somewhat on-topic but I hate the addition of the nondistinct ghost so much I stopped doing the event entirely. I'd rather see the same npc repeatedly than a meaningless figure.

I know for a fact that there are certain people fromBlackwood and Deadlands storyline
Because some of my guildmates got them. So it is definitely after Northern Elsweyr. The Old Life quest actually started in 2021 (I think), so it makes sense.
The only person I can think of who would be cool to show up that aren't currently showing up are (spoiler for High Isle/Galen):Lord Bacaro
Might also be funny if (Necrom story):Meln the Mouthless showed up since, you know, he's already a spirit when you meet him. I know I would laugh.

I think it's a good addition for characters who don't qualify for any of the specific ghosts, to indicate there can be more to it, but it should probably be replaced by the specific ghosts instead of continuing to appear.
Because I normally do events on a character who hasn't done many quests (one I mainly use for dungeons, events and endeavours) I didn't see any ghosts at all the first year and wouldn't have known that could happen if I hadn't heard about it on this forum. Having a ghost appear is a good prompt that if your character knows someone who died they could appear at the shrines.
