This. Just the title.

I'm browsing for an hour to find the right furnishing to craft, pendling between all stations on my quest to find the one that holds the necessary knowledge.
Returning to the first choice yet again because MAYBE I just didn't spot it.

My eyes are tired, trying to pin them on an everscrolling list of furnishing plans over and over and over again feels like I'm actively ruining them.
It's the absolute opposite of clever design in this case. It's an overlook that I dearly request to be looked at!

The grandmaster crafting stations came with a search bar for craftable sets, but as soon as I move over to the furnishing tab, it disappears. Why?
I learned way over 1000 different furnishing plans, a lot more than that even.

How is there still no search bar? We've been farming and consuming hundreds of furnishing plans with each DLC release. With every quarter update for dungeons, more are getting added to the list. Finding the plan I need in order to craft it is the utmost tedious task of this whole deal!

I can't check ingame which plans I'm missing without the usage of addons or browsing the internet, trying my best at translating the plan I'm looking for into english and clicking through several different sides for the answer, always ending up just squinting at my screen and trying to decipher if the 16x16 icon shows the alchemy or tailory symbol.
And once I figured out which station I'd have to check, I find myself clicking through a dozen different categories, scrolling through their contents until my eyes start tearing up and I quit the whole thing.

The necessity of third party applications or putting a trustfund into the community to have constructed a proper source for research is not ok.
You'd expect a search bar, a collections tab entry or just something that tells you, the player, ingame what's up.

- 7 Crafting tables
- 13 Categories
- Thousands of furnishing plans
- 1 pair of functional eyes

For the sake of my eyes and nerves, add a bloody search bar, please.

And while we're at it please give us a furnishng station where we simply can craft anything we learned.

Yes. A thousand times yes. There are an insane amount of plans and no way to search them properly.

Also let us search for unknown in guild traders.

I know this isn't a real solution to some folks, but wanted to share for those who use addons on PC.

https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2282-HearthHomeFilter.html Will give you a search for furnishings, and

https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1909-QualityFurnitureCrafter.html Will give you furniture quality indicators

    Hope this helps someone!

Absolutely yes. I use mostly furnishings that match the house (ex. Vampiric for vampires, solitude for solitude) and it takes too much time and frustration opening all the categories and scrolling through to find them.

If nothing else, maybe a master furnisher station where you can craft all furniture (instead of running between each station), see what recipes you do/don’t have, search, filter, is a good idea.

Agree with what is said here. Oh, and while adding a search bar, also add a "preview" function so that we can SEE what the piece of furniture looks like before crafting.

But the preview function already exists. Simply press "R" (on pc) to open it.

+1 for adding a search bar btw.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

If they were to add a furnishings crafting station, I'm thinking it might be a master furnishings station that you have to buy with writ vouchers like the other master crafting stations. And then maybe you would need to upgrade it by buying each of the other types of basic crafting stations and feeding them into the master station.

As far a search function, I'm not sure I understand the specifics of that request. I, for one, wouldn't want to go to a Clothing station, search for a particular furnishing, and find it, but then be told that I must go to a Woodworking station to craft it. If the request is for a universal search function to help find furnishings across all types of crafting stations, that would be awesome on a master furnishings crafting station where I can craft the furnishing right then and there, but it would probably be pretty annoying to me if I had to go to a different station to craft it.

Next thing you know, people will start asking for an in-game way to search across all guild traders for a desired item (yes, please!), or a way to search through our storage chests, character inventories, and bank account all at once for some item (yes, please!). :)

Pity, because I was just going ta ask for a filter for non-bound and "unknown" (not in sticker collection book) items in inventory too. I guess I'll ask it in the "Inventory" section then.... Btw, as I see it QoL posts would fit rather fine in general discussions.

    i agree with @SeaGtGruff
a separate crafting station for all craftable furnishings would be awesome (especially considering the fact it would be just QoL thing, as it is possible to craft them furnishings on the regular stations)
There are 2,000+ furnishing plans and they are NOT arranged logically, so in order to craft anything furniture i have to open Master Recipe List addon, search for the plan and identify the station and the category (Conservatory, Courtyard, Dining, Gallery, Hearth, Library, Lighting, Parlor, Structures, Suite, Undercroft, Workshop).
Search is essential as the number of known furnishing plans is too large to memorize them all,
also there is no clear classification: a chair can belong to dining, library, or parlor, and it is not necessarily at Woodworking station, lightings are distributed between most of crafting stations and it is hard to remember which is where.

on PC addons solve many problems, which simplify gameplay, consoles need these functions too
i hope our respectable developers play ESO too and know what popular addons are for. If them addons were not useful, they hardly be written and used.

also, furnishings require some serious improvements. their sheer number exceeds 5000 different items
(as besides craftable here are achievements furnishings, luxury, antiquites (their number grows, but they are bound,
which is also a problem. when out of storage i can sell and later buy luxury furnishing from the Guild Traders as players re-sell them, but how do i deal with bound furnishings? they are not "reconstructable) collectibles, Crown Store furnishings)
Not just crafting to be seriously improved, but deploying "furnishings bag" is also a crying need nowadays.

Dear @ZOS, please consider improvements for furnishings, the number of different items has grown really huge
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel with his dialectics was right about "“Quantity is quality sublated”
the tools working with 100 different items lose theirs efficiency for 5000 items. Progress requires changes.
Furnishings require some serious re-work. Please, ZOS

I've asked for a furniture crafting station a few times. It's ridiculous to have to go from Woodworking to Clothing to Enchanting to see all the beds we can make, for example.

I've also asked that they put subcategories in the crafting interface like they already have in the housing editor. It would be a lot easier to find what we are looking for if everything that belongs in Parlor was in subcategories like Banners, Carpets and Rugs, Tea Tables etc. rather than all in one big disorganized lump.

There are a lot of good suggestions, but I would be happy with a search function. I'd actually like every menu to have a search option including improvement and deconstruct. I have a lot of stuff and I try to keep it organized ZOS could help with that by adding a search to basically everything.

As above, these are addons that would be nice to have as part of the core game, but:

At least a few others exist, but I have not the experience to recommend any of them in particular. If you simply want the "what do I know" part, though, I recommend "Character Knowledge"; CraftStore is older, does a lot more, and consequently also does a lot more that people "don't want" out of the box.

(which is not to say CraftStore is bad or anything, simply that it solves a bigger problem, and many people only want to solve the small problem.)

That would be awesome but at the very least if we could sort by style the same way we can when placing furnishings that would help. I was trying to find that one item to craft the other day and if I could have at least put in for it to only show me Redguard items I could have found it a lot faster.
