So my latest failed non-pet, non- masters dual wield Magsorc build was running shattered fate for pen and war maiden to get some damage into crystal frags and haunting curse. Very squishy as there’s no defensive set and no max mag for hardened ward/shield stacking.

The aim of the build was to focus solely on high spell damage and high pen, and do my best to use streak & pvp experience to stay at range.

Even with 20k pen and an 11k flat tooltip on frags (proc frag at 17.5k) I was barely scratching the hordes of DW Stamsorcs and Wardens in the bgs I play on xbox na.

A proc’d frag is hitting for 30k w/o battlespirit, yet these tanky DW stamsorcs and wardens are taking very little damage.

If my squishy, high pen high sd Magsorc can’t even do damage in this meta, I’m afraid it’s time to give up on this little project.

I did also try draugrkin charged with crushing shock… no better.

Any tips are much appreciated…

Nice. Ty Garion! I had been keeping health around 32k, and getting sustain from attro mnds + mnster shldr. I will definitely give this one a try!

This is really great! Thanks again. I can see that with Roksa and Wretched vitality, sustain should definitely not be an issue. I need to go and get Roksa, as I do not have it yet, but I am very excited to try this one out. Thank you!

That build in action helmed by my friend, blowing up experienced players with proper bg builds

All tri stat glyphs
Jewels are all sd enchants (can use 1 regen glyph if needed)
Mundas is lover for pen
Race is breton (so if you are high elf you may need to run 1 more recov glyph)
Fb enchant is fire
Bb enchant is 450 sd
Gear all tri stat glyphs

That is indeed dark deal (not dark conversion)
Endless fury not mages wrath
Energy overload not power overload
Hurricane not boundless

11k overload, 9.2k ward, 10k+ crushing weapon, 14k curse, 16.7k frags
56 points in hp (could even do 52), rest in mag
And obviously using alliance spell power pots (blue)

I'd personally say Roksa and Wretched together is an overkill on sustain. But... this is super close to what I am wanting to run lol.

Roksa allows running lover mundas (normally you can run atro mundas with an offensive monster set, but no monster set gives 4k+ pen.
Roksa also gives the stam sustain which is important on a build with a spammable (crushing weapon) + armor buff (hurricane) + heal (vigor) that all cost stamina.
