Why the new class is called arcanist?

When i look through his skills, he looks more like daedric worshiper rather then student of the arcane.
For me, arcanist would look should be either a renown member of mages guild or someone like imperial battlemage.
I know there is probably a lore explanation for all of this but wouldn't name him a master of arcane arts rather a master of deadric magic.

✭✭✭✭✭An Arcanist is both. While some worshippers are bestowed magic for their worship, Hermaeus Mora is the god of knowledge. I’m sure every Arcanist is studying hard.[PC/NA] Dungeoneer (Tank/DPS), Semi-retired Trialist, and amateur Battlegrounder (DPS) with a passion for The Elder Scrolls lore.

kaushad✭✭✭✭Arcane means known or knowable to only a few people. Hermaeus Mora is the patron of hidden knowledge seekers. And arcanists don't necessarily have to serve or deal with Hermaeus Mora or his minions to become arcanists.2 -
