I don't have much group trial experience. So stay away from it long time.
But thanks for EA mission, I can taste trial boss so easily (maybe normal only though).
After finish to correct DK equipment, I consider group trial as next my purpose.

My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

    I haven´t tryed out EA yet. From, what I have seen on streams, I believe you are right. I also believe it´s a good training ground for DD´s.

    That leave another role behind, and even leading the healer away from EA and place the role in the box it have been for a long time, with no chance getting out of it.

    i would agree that the archive is a good place to practice tanking

    if you can handle the marauders between arc 2 and 4 then you could easily tank normal trials

    if you can handle marauders after arc 4, then you might be able to get into vet trials (still have to learn the mechanics of the actual trial, but you should be able to take the incoming dmg at least)

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    I agree, that EA is good general training ground. Keep in mind tho, that the mechanics of trial bosses are different from their respective versions in EA.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

    Yay, I am ready for tanking HM trials then! :smile:

    On a more serious note, I agree. Getting good at Infinite Archive means you are getting good at crowd control, buffing, de-buffing, resource management, and doing all that while still outputting damage. Those are the basics of tanking, and if you are running with a partner and chaining things in, then you are getting that experience as well.

    I would like it better if the Visions were strong enough that whether you brought a healer, DD, or Tank you could make up for what you lack in your build with the visions, but alas the meta is to come in on a tank, and get your damage increased with visions, because the mitigation visions are too weak.
