Stuck in Endless Archive

I just lost all my lives to Rakhat (frustrating in the extreme since I have soloed him in here numerous times on arc 1 and am not sure why it went so wrong today).

When my last thread went I was not transported back to the entrance but instead was back at the fight like I had a thread left. I thought maybe I had miscounted so took a shot at him to start the fight. At this point I was sucked through the floor to the entrance.

But now it is telling me I am stuck in combat. I have no options at the hour glass to reset it and try again. I cannot port out to a wayshrine or property. I also can't log out. I also can't use the /stuck command to get me out.

Any ideas on how I can get out of here. I really don't want to be endlessly stuck in the wretched thing!

Apparently getting kicked from the server and not being able to get back in with the unexpected internal server error fixed the above issue. But not exactly ideal for how to fix it if it happens again.

Okay, so this is seriously not working properly today. I went to my second run and was unfortunately enough to roll that same boss again. Lost 2 threads to him and it was definitely only 2. Then when I revived for my third attempt I was in the arena and then sucked back to the entrance at the start of the fight again. I can't get back in because it says I have no threads left. But I should have 2 (since I have the bonus one).

Now going to have to do a third run for the daily which is frustrating since I only wanted to do arc 1 and then go take advantage of the Cyrodiil extra AP perk this afternoon.

Does the exit portal in the index/lobby of Endless Archive work? I have found when stuck in combat in dungeons, you can often just use the normal entrance/exit and those work even when wayshrines and traveling to a friend will not work.

You could try queueing for Cyro or IC to escape if this happens again... that works when I get stuck in combat and can't leave a dungeon, so I assume it would work in EA too.

I didn't think of the exit portal. Forgot about it actually as I have never used it.

So I am starting to think this boss is bugged. Got the same one yet again and once again my block doesn't always seem to keep him from sending me flying off the platform when he does the threshing wings, and the big attack after all the gold pads have turned blue is one shotting me no matter where I am or how long I am blocking it for.

I have also had a couple of weird things happen after losing threads. For one my companion aggroed the boss while I was still reviving. She was dead before me every time. The companion update, while mostly great, doesn't seem to have made any difference to this particular fight. She is generally dead before the first pad turns blue. Yet she ran and aggroed the boss while I was still reviving.

And then when I lost my last thread it again revived me at the start of the boss fight, though thankfully my companion didn't aggro him and I didn't get stuck in combat this time and was able to get out of the area without any issue. But it didn't seem to register that my last thread had been lost.

It is getting very frustrating that this boss, who I was managing with relative ease after learning the mechanics before the update, is now killing me every time.

after all the pads are blue and he pulls up the big giant orb aoe, that is his execute mechanic in the trial, normally your meant to kill him before he completes that attack or it will wipe the group

i think he does need a little bit more of a telegraph before he does the wing slap considering you almost always have to face the edge and theres little reaction time for it, im usually almost perma blocking when im handling him while standing on a pad unless hes doing some other obvious mechanic such as his channel

fought him several times since the update, still usually the same fight for me, which in most cases means hes getting disintegrated in under a minute by whatever verse is going on lol

its been awhile since ive encountered him in a late arc (5+)

I have only seen arc 5 once. Each time I have seen him since the update has been arc 2 and I can't burn him down that quickly. I have the add on to help with the telegraphs of his attacks and have been blocking constantly. So it sounds like other than the weirdness with the reviving in the wrong place and companion aggroing him when I am reviving, it is just that I can't burn him down fast enough - which is probably because I have had to sacrifice DPS to stay alive in EA at all.

Wish I would not get him popping up so frequently. I am getting him nearly every run when I am solo and I am really sick of the sight of him.

usually if i run into him in arcs 1 or 2, hes usually dead almost before he goes to the 2nd pad

if i run into him in arcs 3 or 4, he might possibly make it to the 3rd pad, depending on verses

arc 6+ or so is where i usually see him regularly making it to the 3rd or 4th pads, depending on verses/visions

i remember dying once to his execute, but thats because i was on a tank and my friend had died and i didnt have the dmg to kill him, i think this was like arc 7 or 8 when the bosses actually start to become more meaty too (the cycle boss health also does scale up the further you go and at arc 7 or 8 they are usually around 5-6 million hp)

So, basically translation to my runs is that since I am dying to him repeatedly in arc 2 I am simply too rubbish to beat him and have to hope for better luck with the bosses next run.

this is one of the bosses that the companions dont work well against, because they dont stand on the pads

if you stand on the glowing pads you take significantly less dmg from the boss, you just have to move when hes about to slam the pad, and watch out for wing slaps (not telegraphed well and can knock you off the ledge)

i usually try to select more offensive verses before a boss fight, especially in the earlier arcs, as those will significantly increase dmg output
