where do you craft furniture?

cheshirecatqee
I've got the plans, materials and upgraded skills/crafting to max but the option to craft doesn't appear.

Is it only specific locations or have I over looked something.

Each type of Crafting Table has an icon top right for furniture.....

Click on that and your known plans for that table will appear in a drop down!

You have to be at the correct crafting station and the furnishing tab is on the far right (next to the refine, item crafting, decon, and upgrade tabs). I often have to go to several crafting stations before I find what I’m looking to make.

there is a furnishing tab on the end of all crafting stations (enchanting, provisioning, smithing, jewelry, woodworking, clothing)

the actual station you need to use is hinted at in the name of the blueprint, like i think a "praxis" is crafted at the enchanting table

if you dont remember which one, then its a guessing game unless you are on PC and use addons to be able to look it up

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Sorry should have put I'm on PS4.

I've seen the last in the list but it says no plans available.

I have seen the option to craft furniture but have no idea how I found them.

btw I do writs in Leyawin and none of the crafting tables say I can craft any furniture.

if you dont see anything in the list, make sure you use the right checkboxes (have ingredients, have skill, quest only)

if you dont have a quest, and have "quest only" checked, you wont see anything

if you dont have the right ingredients to craft an item and have "have ingredients" checked, you wont see the item or anything depending on what your missing

if you are missing the crafting skills and have "have skill" checked, it wont show items you cant craft until you put pts into the craft skill line to use higher quality materials

Have you used the plans to learn them or are they still in your inventory? Also did you learn them on the character you're trying to craft them on?

Plans, blueprints, recipes etc. aren't items you hold and use in crafting, you need to use them (not sure of the specific controls for Playstation) so your character learns them, then they'll appear in the list of items you can craft.

Duh I learn any plans I get.

My character is the highest (cp 360), I've got and I've used skill points to raise blacksmithing, woodworking and clothing.

I'm going online shortly but from memory the character I'm using has 50 blacksmithing, woodworking and possibly clothing. I also have heartwood, decotative wax etc.

If I can't use any crafting station, there is obviously something I've missed.

It was a valid question to verify that you had learned the plans and weren’t thinking they were single use. Obviously either you have missed something, or there is a bug — how is anyone to know without checking?

The furnishing tab should display all the plans you have learned for that station if you uncheck all the boxes. And you should be able to craft furnishings at the crafting tables in Leyawiin or anywhere else without issue. I hope you get it figured out!

I don't know what you see on consoles but make sure you have the "have skills" and "have ingredients" boxes ticked.....

To check it's registering any plans you have learned you would just need "have skills" ticked :)

Wouldn’t having those ticked potentially be the source of the problem? Maybe the OP is missing a style ingredient or needs to assign additional skill points (they say they have level 50 in several but that doesn’t count — it’s the skill points, and many furnishing plans require several in different crafts).

Agreed. OP should have everything unticked so they can see the plans they have learned, even if for some reason they can't craft them. This sounds like the issue.

Also OP, you're asking a beginner level question so there is no need to be rude and say "duh" when people trying to help are checking off other basic things that might be the cause.

Thank you so much everyone who took the time to help me.

I said duh because it is the most obvious thing to do first.

Sorry about that and if someone had just said check you don't have quest only checked, instead of assuming even though I had made it clear that the character was high enough to do craft furniture then I wouldn't have been annoyed.

There is a lot to learn and process in this game.

Problem solved now and again thank you to everyone who answered this query.
