Outfit slots are too expensive by a lot

Hey. I have never posted on the forums about or seen a post about it but I think that an outfit slot for a single character being the same price as a new character slot is kinda heccin' beans. I actually cannot think of an mmo I played where the transmog system is worse save those that have none. SWTOR literally got you beat ZoS. That is sad. I advocate for 1500 Crowns being the price to unlock a slot for your account where every character now has an extra outfit, even new ones you make, up to 10 unlockable account upgrade outfit slots. I also think that keeping the idea of unlocking it on just one toon is fine, but it would have to be at a much lower price. Say like 100 per individual slot that are serperate and unlimited. I have like 30 outfit ideas for each of my toons but it's ridiculous to ask me to pay 1500 per new outfit across 9 toons and only get a third of what I want.

100% agree that outfit and armory slots should be account wide increases.

There is absolutely zero reason why they should be charging for them to begin with, let alone so aggressively.

I see no reason why if there is insistence they remain character-wide, that we can’t purchase them in-game for gold like other options.

I have 18 characters. I have purchased ZERO outfit slots. If they were account wide, I would have purchased multiples.

Its a digital item that has no inventory cost, no production cost and no cost outside of the mechanics development. There is no reason to be as stringent as they are on the pricing of these items.

In sales there is a saying "A little bit of somethign is better than a whole lot of nothing." ZOS could learn from this. They are leaving money on the table.

Agree, agree, agree. Sadly, they’re even expensive (relatively speaking) when they go on sale, and that’s been rare.

This was mentioned when they came out. ZOS seems disinclined to take action. Similarly, I am disinclined to buy any.

Even if we cannot see it, we can guess that it has backend costs. The database has to hold everyone's unused outfits forever. The actual impact depends on how they have the database structured. I figure that it is as optimized as they can get it, because they are going to be experts in database management. Even so, it is not going to be "no cost".

We already know that the databases (plural) for this game are massive. They have said so. It is not unreasonable to think they are watching that closely.

Cash store gonna cash, so I don't imagine they'll ever be free.

That being said, I think they're too expensive at the moment. Logically speaking, there must be some point where lowering the cost increases number of sales by a commensurate amount, and ZOS doesn't lose profit.
And I can't imagine we're at that point with the current pricing.
I think it is central to ESO's well-being to critique the developers when they change the game (or fail to change something).
But the negativity can be exhausting, so I vow to post 50/50 negativity and appreciation.

I think everything is overpriced, in general. If it weren’t for ESO plus crowns, I wouldn’t buy from the store at all. I don’t think they realize how much more participation/higher volume sales they’d receive if the store was reasonably priced. There is no value there at all, IMO.

I have to agree, I think they are way to expensive for what you get and should be account wide or a lot cheaper, like maybe 200 crowns max.
