Mob Farming Classes?

What’s the best AOE damage class. Will be used to farm mobs for CP and Crafting mats. Want to use Khajiit also. I’m just looking for big damage to burn mobs fast. Avoiding DK if possible. She is my crafter and I don’t like the feel for mob farming. She’s not “fast enough”. Please and Ty!

I have a Breton Templar with Nirnhoned Flame Staff, Bloodthirsty Jewelry Soulshine, Oblivion's Foe, and Valkyn Skoria. Reflective Light, Soul Splitting Trap, Biting Jabs, and Solar Barrage. It does a lot of dots and clears multiple groups of mobs in public dungeons very quickly. I pull groups with Soul Splitting Trap which then applies a second dot with Oblivion's Foe. It's also a good place for my tons of empty soul shards from enchanting and jewelry crafting boxes.

I have been leaning towards Templar. It’s one the classes I’ve played the longest and was wondering if there’s something better for farming. Maybe should just stick to Templar then. My Templar main is a healer so I guess I’ll make a new one for pure DPS.

I made my crafter an Orc/Stam/DK and I’m seriously regretting that now because I can’t stand to play her. I want to be able to farm on my crafter and I just don’t enjoy the sluggish pace of DK. Seems like Templar is the way to go.

How do you think a Khajiit Stamplar would do? Really want to play Khajiit to farm. But also still be able to keep up in pvp maybe. Not looking to be a meta god but don’t want to get completely decimated either lol.

I wouldn't bother making a new one. The difference in damage is minute to non existent when you farm.

Just take two decent sets like Deadly Strike and Order's Wrath, put on a half decent Monster Helmet, or two, and change your abilities to AoE damage. Done.

This is how I farmed on my MagPlar, when I levelled up two of my companions in spell scar and skyreach.

You might need to collect a couple more ability points, if you do not have some left over and you want to unlock a new ability. But that is still less time investment than levelling up a completely new toon. A lot less.

Yeah I’m currently maxing multiple toons and that would just be added time. I’ll check into it. I’m not a fan of switching builds but it’s not a bad idea and I have a few times already so maybe I just need to get used to it lol.
