I tried to Fillet Fish to see if this Endeavor would work but to my surprise, I guess Filleting fish is not considered refining. Even though your filleting fish into Perfect Roe and Fish Stacks.

YetAnotherLinuxUser✭✭✭✭it's def refining though. The game handles it wrong for sure and you are right it should count. Esp with them shoving it in our face and making the entire food and drink menu a sub menu that very oddly requires an extra effort to use the crafting station for making food and drink, who's purpose is food and drink making.2

Masteroshi430✭✭✭✭Technically (codewise) filleting is done by "use item" so it is not deconstructing nor refining, you can do it everywhere from your inventory without a cooking fire.
