In my experience, we have trials bosses from Craglorn (Hel Ra Citadel, Aetherian Archive, Sanctum Ophidia), Maw of Lorkhaj, and Sunspire.

Z'baza is in the archive, but they're a secret boss from Coral Aerie. If your fight involved tentacles out of the ground or purple spheres following you slowly, it was Z'baza from Coral Aerie. I've yet to hear of anyone actually facing Z'maja.

All the way to Arc 2 Tho'at. I lost my first thread encountering a Marauder halfway thru Arc 2, would have lost my second fighting Z'Maja, that Cloudrest Trial Boss, but I had just prior picked up the Vision that auto revives you if you die. That Vision saved that fight for me. But when I got to Tho'at the second time and discovered she has a second phase is when I hit my brick wall. It's those seeker ball things. That entire fight is overwhelming, there's so much ground AoE, floating spheres with energy beams, blobs of goop etc, and my Ember doesn't last long in there. I think I found my limit, this entire place is giving me flashbacks to Maelstrom Arena, but at least that place has a hard end goal that gives you a sense of accomplishment.

I don't even know how to read the stage icons, they weren't explained and all I picked up on was there's Arcs, Cycles, and Stages. Is that the order that's shown in my report? Arc 2, Cycle 5, Stage 3?

By the way, that one Offensive Verse that adds three swirls of Ice when you Light Attack? I want that all the time. I need that all the time.

    swift gale

and i dont think ive seen z'maja in the archives yet, the only sload ive seen is z'baza which is the 4th secret boss in coral aerie

and yes, according to your report you ran out of threads on arc 2 tho'at

Now I can't remember the name, it was just a Sload Boss that reminded me of Cloudrest. I heard from others this Dungeon gives you Bosses from everywhere including Trials so I just assumed. I even fought The Mage from Aetherian Archive.

they basically look and sound the same for sure lol

the only one ive experienced is the coral aerie secret boss (due to the name), and the mechanics mirror the coral aerie secret boss

i think theres only a handful of trial bosses in there, zha'jassa the forgotten, rakkat, the mage, the serpent, the warrior, yolnakriin

i think in total there are 68 unique bosses that can appear, though certain ones only seem to appear on cycle 1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on their difficulty

i would actually be interested to see them adding additional bosses in there, as some of the old bosses are varied with newer attacks, and the scaled down trial boss fights are also interesting

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Which attacks are new? I've yet to see anything I recognized as new, only attacks that used to be rare or ones that were adapted in some way.

grothdarr encounter is entirely different from the dungeon (spawns a big lava pool in the middle, launches fireballs out of his left arm)
vorener winterborne (spindle 2 final boss) inherited an attack that was only used by a miniboss in kynes aegis
yolnakriin has the big 180 degree big burst of dmg, which doesnt happen in the trial, it might be an alternate version of flash fire for the scaled down encounter

those are the main ones off the top of my head, i cant say for sure ive experienced every boss that is in the archive yet but i would agree that a vast majority of them mostly mimic the original encounter

are the additional attacks/mechanics a really big deal? no not really but it does alter the fight a bit from the original

I'm all but certain that Yolnahkriin's large AOE is an adaptation of the group wipe mechanic. I believe both attacks even use the same voice line.

Grothdarr didn't strike me as too terribly different, other than the snakes of fire moving in circles around the center rather than playing a game of Centipede like they do in the dungeon. Maybe I just didn't see it.

Vorenor Winterbourne tends to die pretty fast in my runs, so I've only seen the mech when he turns to mist, which is normal.

As you said, though, they don't really change the fight too terribly much, and those are very few changes from the source material even if all of them are new.

I faced The Lava Queen from Blessed Crucible and noticed the mechanic where she shoves her sword into the ground to spawn all those lines of Lava don't stop even after she stands back up to continue fighting, the lava changes into a spiral pattern like a pinwheel.

With the Endeavor today, I decided to give this a try on my Oakensorc.

Got knocked off the dragon platform once, lost the second thread to Tho’at, and the third to the Marauder early in the second arc.

Pretty easy except for the Tho’at in the first arc. Just a step function in difficulty at that point.

The Marauder appeared and then I briefly saw some aoes and it was all over.

I guess I will be a one arc farmer for the most part. I have some trouble with my right hand now so no light attacking at all. Heavy attacks are a little easier for short periods of time. This one arc took an hour though, that’s about my limit I think.

PC player here. Finally had some time to play EA properly. I had a goal of getting the bust solo (that is, kill Arc 4 Tho'at)

On my skill level: I consider myself to be mid-end player, have done several trial HMs, but not a single trifecta push.

Difficulty-wise: the EA feels the difficulty is fine. First arc is rather simple, while the second arc adds the marauders. On arc 3 onwards, the adds feels to be the most difficult fight in there, while tho'at is a middle ground between the harder bosses (Rakkhat et al.) and easier bosses (Shadowrend et al.). Arc 4 starts to get spicy on the add rounds, with the random Tho'at mechs. The bosses from other content do resemble their content counterparts to the degree of me being able to know what to do with them in EA to survive.

Biggest hurdle for me is how EA is really time hungry. Getting the bust took me 2.5 hours, an amount of time I normally do not have to spend on a game in a one-go. Usually I have at max 2 hours to play, often less, meaning I really can't do the content on the more enjoyable difficulty. I wish EA had a way to save progress or to skip earlier arcs, so I could really push myself there and to play on the difficulty I find good for me.

My first attempt ended at 3-5-3, the second I went til 5-2-1.
That's to say: you'll probably want to change your build to a tanky one if you want to go solo.

The second time I built to resistances cap, health regen, damage shields... I ended the run with 7.000+ health recovery from bonuses, and it took me 5 full hours - I was slower then first time, but got further.

Funnily enough I lost 2 threads to mobs stages, only one at Tho'at Replicanum in its final form, Arc4. Not died a single time to marauders: I was able to stand still facing the "4 armed" one.

I really enjoy the experience but I find it heavy having to play for such a long session if I want to have a safe place on leaderboard - 5 hours and I'm not even first place for my class. I give up on that...
