A Heart Turned Black - Elder Pitof issue

At each section of the tunnel in which you use Y'ffre's Rain on the bloated moth muse blossoms, Elder Pitof does nothing. He stands, quest marker overhead, and does not open the way forward. I have to relog at each door in order to proceed. This happened on EU yesterday, and on NA today. There are other players there that seem to have no issue, but it has not worked in either instance for me. The only common denominator is that both characters are wardens.
Maythor: honestly we're getting the supermarket treatment here ... shrinkflation with the addition of simply moving things about so they seem fresher .. all the while being told a corporation is our friend :P
