high speed sprinting mount question

so i bought the horse with 25% starting speed and upgraded it, and now is 35%

i was riding it WITHOUT sprinting and noticed the guy beside me was goin the same speed as me on his imperial horse, i asked him and he said he wasnt sprinting and he didnt upgrade speed at all

so my question is that when u upgrade speed it only effects sprint speed??since my 35 speed horse was going the same speed as imperial 15 speed while nonsprinting

Not sure how or why you would get into a discussion with some stranger about whether he upgraded his horse, but... either he was lying about not upgrading, or you are experiencing some bug. I would assume the former.

The Imperial mount starts with a 15% speed boost and, just like you, they can upgrade their speed 1% per day. You have only upgraded our speed 10 times, while they could have upgraded their speed 20 times, or more, since release. It is very possible, and highly likely, that they are at the same, or even higher, speed than you.

The difference will come at the cap. The Imperial horse's max speed will cap lower than yours.

thats what i thought too, but ever since that incident, i have been "racing"
other players and my 35 speed horse is the same speed as a lower speed horse, i have noticed when i sprint i go much faster, so i guess speed does only effect sprinting and no overall normal speed

Really, is that right? Upgrading the horse's speed only makes you Sprint faster?

Horses are totally bugged atm. You can perma sprint is just one of the bugs. Just another example of things the devs need to fix before the game comes out of beta, the paid beta that is.
