    On UESP, it says:
    PTE
Shorthand for leaving a Dungeon instance, derived from the key combination [P] (open Group window), [T] (Leave Instance), [E] (Confirm).
Public Test Environment, an alternative name for the PTS.

OP, which one are you talking about?

It’s a leave instance thing. I think two weeks ago it was working, you could mash the three buttons and quickly leave and reset the instance. Useful if your group is working on a no-death run, but they had a death along the way, and they want to restart again fast

My theory is they enabled it on live but forgot to enable it on pts, so when the update got pushed to live it re-disabled pte. At least I hope so. We’d really like pte back.

If you don't know what's PTE why you write here ? PTE is combination of butomms to teleport out of instance without leaving group P T E.

I think they just don't know how to disable it on endless archive , because if PTE will be able there ppl will abuse it .
So as usual ZOS don't know how to fix problem - we suffer

Clearly they were curious about what it meant. It makes sense as it is not an actual game thing and likely just an exploit someone found. It also only exists on PC for obvious reasons so it would have been a good idea to explain what it was in the OP.

    Ah you mean [G] + [X] + [Alt] ...

At least that is it for me. There are custom key binds.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

And this is not exploit , it's function which was in game till last month , ZOS was disable it first and after understanding how stupid this was , they enable it again and after U40 they disable it again . Genius.

As itself, it is not exploit. Some people were using PTE to avoid certain deaths in trifecta runs so it is viewed as one. All ZoS had to do is to make vitality bonus decrease when PTEing, no need to disable this function at all.

and if Zenimax did see it being used in an unintended manner, as is suggested here, then they may have decided this was the best way to go about it. Granted, they could have eliminated the means to get the trifecta if anyone left the instance for any reason, but disabling it may have been the most expedient means to handle the issue at this time.

This is not solution . They just to lazy to make something , there is a lot solution of this problem - for example what "robpr" just wrote.

Well, it is a solution if Zenimax saw its use in certain situations was causing unintended benefits. I noted that they may have decided this was the best way to go about it and that it may have been the most expedient means to handle whatever the problem was.

So yes, I acknowledged there could be other solutions than the way Zenimax seems to have chosen to use.
