EA Removed to Index and last thread lost before engaging boss

Yesterday I made it to Arc 2 solo for the first time. I was about to engage the 4th boss but when I took one step forward I was pulled to the Index and lost my last thread. To make matters worse I was then stuck in combat, even though combat had not even begun, and I could not port out or log off or anything. I had to force close the game and it took awhile before I was able to log in again.

i think the bug about losing threads randomly and being ported to the archive is known (there was only 1 run i had where it felt like there was something fishy with the threads as i only remember dying twice)

not sure on being stuck in combat in the archive itself though

something that might help if you need to reset the archive instance there is an hourglass which forces the instance to reset and gives you the prompt to exit the instance

this is useful too if you finish a run and want to go again, you hit the hourglass to reset it so you can start a new run

I was unable to use the hourglass, but honestly I wasn't in the mood to start from scratch again. What is weird is I was able to interact with the merchants but couldn't do anything else because of being stuck in combat.

that also seems unusual, as you can usually use interactive items in combat as long as you havent been attacked recently (like the merchants and other npcs)

based on what ive been reading on these threads about lost threads, it seems that most of the people who have had that happen are running solo

ive probably done about 75-90% of my runs in a 2 person group and dont think ive had any issues with randomly losing threads

overall i agree though that is not a fun way to end a run

Well I hope they figure it out because I really wanted to see if I could make it to Arc 3.

i agree, theres numerous bugs with the archive that can make the experience not fun

if enemies spawn too far away they will disappear and you can lose a thread
enemies in some of the arenas can spawn underground making them nearly impossible to kill unless you have scorching support
randomly losing threads (such as your case)
the bonus stages with transformations (watcher/goat) can be bugged and cause gear to stop working unless you unequip and requip the gear
in a run with 2 players, 1 player can fail to port into the bonus stage

ive lost track how many runs ive done but surprisingly had few issues, the worse one is probably the enemy spawning underground because then you remain perma stuck in combat and the only way to leave the instance is if you are in group and leave group
