Did Skeleton morph in Witches Festival come with 100% xp buff this year?

It was an invisible, automatically applied through the entire thing, buff.

I think it quit working at 16h UTC today. The buff, that is. I still have the skeleton morph on because the time hasn't run out on it yet, but the buff doesn't seem to be there anymore.

it quit working because the event ended.
the 100% exp buff was there the whole event and you didnt need to use the cauldron.

The passive nature of event buffs going forward means you won't ever forget to activate it or have it run out on you before the event ends, but you also won't be able to carry it over past the end of the event and stack it with the Explorer's buff like you could before.

Well, that sort of undermines the reason I paid to have 18 characters and put in the effort to develop most of them to champion level.

The buff is automatic, the effect from the witchmother's whistle is now entirely cosmetic.

This is a huge QOL improvement. No more carrying around all of those Pelinal scrolls on every toon, or having to remember to use your cake/whistle/whatever memento just to get the exp bonus, and also avoids those situations where you forget to reapply your buff and don't notice it.

I can't think of any reason why this would affect your 18 toons; if anything, it should make it easier, as you no longer have to worry about reapplying the buff.

With 18 characters you could save up 144 extra hours of 100% xp buff per year to use outside of events. (They would also stack with the Explorer's xp buff.) I'm not sure that was ever intended - it certainly wasn't advertised or promised.

Well it was a pretty significant buff if one does daily writs or something else which does not take a long with many chars. I did that for years but have to admit I stopped caring and remembering to buff em all before event ends at some point.

Yeah, well that's how it was up until last year. I wasn't aware that the buff had been changed. In fact, I lost some buff time prepping my characters for two hours (each) for out of event buff.

Just another streamlining that removes enterprise from the game. For years I too would utilise the xp and ap boost after events across multiple toons. It was very useful for levelling abilities and getting cyro tier ones.

I feel like the devs just keep clipping our wings in little ways, and saying the wings were a nuisance anyway. People who have played this game for years and explored the various nooks and crannies it has to offer would no doubt notice how they keep getting paved over.

having event buffs when the events end is awesome, but now i know the buff is actually active for me throughout events without needing to remember to use an item every two hours.
i definitely forgot the majority of time.
