Looking to make a dk tank should I pick Argonian, Nord or Imperial?
I’ve decided to make a dk tank after reading the responses on my post on what classes and races are recommended for tanking. However I’m unsure on what race to choose out of the 3 any suggestions on what I should choose?

✭✭✭NordHuge fan of the Nord for tanking. The resistance and ultimate building passives are great. Plus, a Nord DK is also a good combo for PVP DD.1 -

✭✭NordNord is widely considered the top race for main tank because of its passives. Imperial being second. That said we are talking leaderboard. You can realistically get through trifectas with any one of these. Argonians find a fair amount of use in ot. Personally i have an ot build so i chose argonian. Keep in mind this is also based on your class. I have an arc so i use a lot of shields sustain is really important for me so argonian was a natural choice. ✭ImperialAs a Tank, the 10% to 14% ability cost reduction doesn't come as easy as it does to DPS or Healers. So the Imperial's 6% reduction across all abilities is a big help. It supports tanking where it is always the weakest: sustain.
Health and Stamina are also very good stats for a Tank.
As a Nord, you have more options in sets (and weights), because you do not need to worry that much about resistances and the cap that you need to reach.
Also, the additional Ulti gen helps with casting buff Ultimates like Warhorn.
And that is an Offtank/Supporttank thing, too.No Effort, No Reward?

✭ArgonianIf you want a meta tank, go Nord because it has so many good traits that you want for a tank. But my main healer is a Nord so I didn't want to make another Nord so I made mine Argonian, and to be perfectly honest, he's just as capable as he would be if he was a Nord. The extra sustain you get when using tripots is actually pretty handy in a pinch. The extra healing done kind of goes to waste though, so if you go Argonian, you're basically just doing so for the extra sustain.0 -

✭✭ImperialThe nord passive that is the most beneficial is the ulti gen, but that can be achieved more easily by using decisive weapons. And the resistances can be easily obtained in other ways, heavy armor, various armor sets, etc. (only need 32.5k resistances, any more is mostly wasted) The argonian passive that is so beneficial is the massive resource regen when drinking a potion.
But with imperial you can have the extra resources at all times instead of just the burst when you drink a potion, and with decisive weapons you can have as much or more ulti regen as nord has. So overall, imperials tend to make the best tanks. That 6% cost reduction and health and stamina racial passive at all times really adds up.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭NordI would change my vote to Imperial if I could. I forgot the 6% cost reduction applies to ults, negating some of the reason you pick Nord in the first place.. plus, that 6% goes towards everything, blocking, dodging, sprinting, health/stam/mag costs.
Its value is understated.2
