EA Dragon Boss Question

How do you avoid being knocked off the platform? I tried attacking from the rear while my tank did their thing, and got knocked off with a tail swip. I tried from the sides and the wings knocked me off. I tried from the front next to the tank and got headbutted off. Any strategy would be helpful. Thanks!

theres a couple dragon bosses, but usually with all of them you do not want to fight on their sides or back because you will get wing slapped or tail slapped

you dont need to be right next to the tank, like on a 45 degree angle from them

the part of the dragon wing that sits on the ground that has a talon on it (most people call it a knuckle) as long as your between those you should be fine

just keep in mind if you are fighting yolnakriin, it does have a frontal attack that hits 180 degrees in front of it so you need to side step it then get back in front

if you block the wing slap you wont get knocked back either, but its usually better to fight in a location where that doesnt happen lol

This ^ I fought Yolnakriin and Mulaamnir on a solo run, and I found that just facing them works the best. If you need to side step any conal attacks, or roll dodge their fire sweep attack and find yourself at their sides, then make sure to block the wing slap if it happens at that moment and you won't get knocked back, and then you can reposition. If I was with a tank I'd probably still stay on the front, between the head and the wing, and roll through any fire sweep or block any head butt attack.

my biggest problem with the dragon bosses is that platform you fight them on is awfully small, theres very little area to move and very easy to get knocked off lol

Block or roll dodge the cone thatd knock you off (boss hits you with his head). Usual formation for in-content dragons is tank sits between head and “knuckle” AKA stands on the shoulder on one side and the dps stands on the other shoulder.
