PS/Xbox/Steam ESO codes work for PC?

If I'm given a gift card for crowns or monthly subscription for the Xbox, PS, or Steam version of the game, would it work on the PC accounts or are they different codes? I have a friend that has an XBox 3000 Crowns code that offered it to me but I don't want to take it if the code can't work on the PC. I'd rather him give it away or sell it without the code scratched off than him give me the code, I scratch it to reveal the code underneath, and it not work. By work I mean enter the code on the website to redeem code (pic for reference).

K then I'll let him know I can't use it. Glad to hear that before he gave me the card lol. What about Steam codes when your account isn't linked with Steam? I have Steam linked on my ESO account here but when I'm in Steam it doesn't show that I have ESO. Not sure if I'd have to purchase ESO through Steam or not. I know some games require you to repurchase games you already own from Steam to be able to access them on Steam (I think GW2 is one of them). I have money in my Steam Wallet I might want to use to get some Crowns later in the month if the price for some of the new Halloween items is higher than how many Crowns I've got now.
Here's my ESO account showing I've linked ESO with my Steam account (account names removed) and a picture showing that Steam is saying I need to buy ESO.

✭✭✭✭✭if you have steam linked it'll probably work? i'm less familiar with eso on pc, but i assume it works even if you haven't bought eso on steam.
