Question about this year’s Witches Festival drops

I really love the new Apocrypha furnishing items that are dropping this year, thanks so much for adding something new that we can put in our new Telvanni Peninsula house!

Before the event started, I was looking forward to getting some of the mushrooms that were in last years events, but I haven’t got any and none of the guildies I know have got any either. Are they still dropping or have I just not been lucky enough to get one yet?

I got a couple of mushrooms. So, they are still dropping. I just wish they toned down those vampiric containers in favor of the apocrypha furnishings.

I got a mushroom today. I like the Apocrypha brain-in-a-jar furnishings, just what my Arcanist's workshop needed.

Still haven't had a Crowborne Hunter outfit page.

I have the worst luck when it comes to Motif drops. I always get Motifs I already have. I did like six delves today and the same drops every time.

I have not seen a single piece of Hollowjack drop yet. Is it really that rare now?

Not really.... at least in my experience. I missed two days due to family crap. Today, every one of my six characters who did a delve got a piece of Hollowjack (which none of them needed due to previous WF events), as well as 4 of them got the current motif drop whatever it's called (no, I don't remember - that was early this morning, and whatever it is is ugly anyway).

As far as I've seen, the Hollowjack motif pages drop only from the Witch Writs. When you complete a Witch Writ you will get a Witch Gift, and inside the Witch Gift is a Hollowjack motif page. That's been my experience, anyway. I don't know whether the Hollowjack motif pages are supposed to drop from other sources besides Witch Writs, and I don't know whether the Witch Gifts from the Witch Writs are supposed to contain anything besides Hollowjack motif pages.

I've been getting the Glenmoril (sp?) style pages the most. Can't find anyone who wants them usually so I just crush them. I'd rather have something useful.

Thanks for letting me know at least someone is still getting mushrooms. If all else fails maybe I can find them in guild traders then.

Ooooooh i think this is right. This reminds me of last year's event when i chased the writs and the hat. Haven't been this year. Yes you have to do the writs.

I can confirm mushrooms still drop, just not very often.

I'd like to add that I, too, am very happy about the addition of the Apocrypha furnishing items! I like their design. They'll make a great addition to my arcanist's house, and my warden's too.

I'm significantly less happy with the drop rates of all of the different items. The chance to get a specific item seems to be about inversely proportional to how much I want to get it. So far, at the evening of day 4 of the festival, after gathering an everage of 7 golden skulls a day, plus dozens of purple ones, I've got:

Outfits:

20 to 30 Dremora motive pages. All of my 17 characters know all, or all but 1, of this style now, and I've got some to spare.
about 10 Genmoril Weird style pages. All for the guild bank, as I've got the style complete already.
1 Crowborne Hunter style page. Very frustrating, as this is supposed to be the big new reward.
0 Hollowjack (an exeption to the rule, I don't want these as I already got them all)

Other:

5 witches festival writs - straight into the guild bank, as I already know the Hollowjack style and have the achievement.
3 pieces of the ghost netch pet.
2 groups of mushrooms (just not the type I want most, but ok).
A few festival recipes. My master crafter knows all of them, but it would be nice if my other characters would learn to make their own food.
dozens of vampiric furniture pieces I already had and didn't want more off. Please, 30+ bottles of mysterious yellow liquid is enough.
Quite a lot of witches festifal furniture that's kind of nice, but I already got enough of.
A few apocrypha furniture pieces I didn't have yet, really like, and want more of.
0 webs, pumpkin lanterns, specimen jars or candlefly gatherings, items I really, really like and are my main motivation to keep going for the skulls.

I'm curious to hear what other people got.

I'm at 4 days of 6 golden boxes a day. So far, of the new items: 1 Crowborne style page, and 3 netch's fragments. I haven't been keeping track of all the other items but the distribution is probably similar to Gingaroth, and similarly it's a pretty disappointing yield for me.

Yes, and we can again this year, for 4 tickets. I just might do that, and leave the Crowborne Hunter style for the grab bag next year.

My loot so far, besides reagents and treasure:

1 Crowborne style page

2 Possessed shreds

~12 Witches Festival writs (at first I was disappointed as I already earned the achievements, but the writs weren’t expensive to do and each earned a voucher or two and a Hollowjack motif page that I was able to quickly sell via guild trader — so nice reward after all)

At least three recipes and a vampiric furnishing plan, already known, sold on trader.

Numerous Dremora, Glenmoril, and Grave styles pages/maps — the market was already saturated so I vend for a few gold or destroy them.

I have gotten one mushroom so far — an emerging stinkhorn, and then a few each of the witches, vampire, and new Apocrypha furnishings.

Some of the Mushrooms can also drop as furnishings from Fang Lair dungeon btw. Specifically variants of the puspockets.

I just saw your post, thanks for the offer but yes I am on PS.

I have one specific type of mushroom I want for the new house but it seems to be very rare, I heard one went for 1 mil gold in traders recently.

Trying hard to get the Bewitched Sugar Skulls recipe. Annoyingly I got the other two gold recipes in successive purple skulls yesterday.
