Endless Archive - Is the difficulty not scaled to the number of players?

I feel it is not. It is marketed as soloable....... Just for Arc 1i? I think there needs to be better scaling. Just saying.

✭✭✭✭✭The scaling is just how far you can go. Currently I have seen up to arc 5 or 6 solo I believe. Definitely at least 4. Arc 1 is “normal” , casuals should be able to solo arc 1.PC/NA Dungeoneer (Tank/DPS/Heal), Trialist (DPS/Tank/Heal), and amateur Battlegrounder (DPS) with a passion for The Elder Scrolls lore- CP 2000+
- Warden Healer - Arcanist Healer - Warden Brittleden - Stamarc - Sorc Tank - Necro Tank - Templar Tank - Arcanist Tank
- Trials: 9/12 HMs - 4/8 Tris
- Dungeons: 32/32 HMs - 25/26 Tris

prof-dracko✭✭✭✭✭From what I recall from the PTS notes it IS scaled...for Arc 1. After that it gets harder and stays that way regardless of how you play it.0 -
Sirona_Starr✭✭✭✭✭Well, I definitely can't get past Tho'at. So, cannot even finish a daily solo. I can solo some base game dungeons. Time to move on to other things.
If it's not scaled ,period, no point for solo.
I'm a bit more than a casual player.
Enjoy all you much better than average dps players

✭✭✭✭✭It is scaled for 2 players, as it is a two player arena.
It is also soloable, but in the same way a dungeon is soloable. By experienced players. Which is kind of the point. And to incentivize that, they included leaderboards for solo players to try their hands at it.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Most of the feedback I heard about PTS was that Arc 1 was similar to Veteran Maelstrom. VMA is quite easy for good players nowadays, but it is definitely not casual.2 -

That sounds about right. Arc 1 is certainly not similar to base game dungeons and world bosses, as a casual player I can solo some of those but I can't get beyond the second cycle boss in Arc 1, and even that is dependent on which boss I get in the first cycle.
One of the problems is that in any other context the way you deal with such problems is to learn the mechanics and practice, but with EA the "3 deaths and it's a new game with a different random boss" means you don't have those opportunities.4 -

Do you think any variation of a support role would be good for an Endless Archive duo? Or is it best for two DPS who are perhaps a bit tanky and have their own heals?0
