Maintenance for the week of December 23:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – December 23, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 14:00 UTC (9:00AM EST)

Please consider making the PVP daily 'played 3', not 'won 3'!

For every winner, there has to be a loser. So for all the Tribute players to get their daily done, they on average need to play 6 matches each. Add in another 3 against the NPC, and that's 9 matches a day. Ain't nobody got time for that!

So what's happening instead is that new players come in, pick up the daily, lose a couple of matches to regular players, and decide Tribute is not for them. Simply changing the requirement to 'play 3' would fix so much of that. New players would stick around, and the Tribute base as a whole would grow.

Good idea. You don't always know who you'll be grouped with. Sometimes the win 3 BG's quest could take hours if you keep getting grouped with newbies/lowbies.

yeah if im doing BGs i never grab that daily, theres too many times ive had to do like upwards 6-8 matches to even get 3 that place in first or 2nd lol

i do wish the tribute one was the same, they could always include a catch to say that it wont count if you concede (you already get no rewards for that match if you concede anyway, but people could cheese the daily by conceding 3 times, though with the cooldown timer after a concede it would be hit or miss if it would take longer than just playing 3 matches lol)

l think this is also a very great idea, as l can tell from experience myself, before l got into the tribute it was quite confusing at first. But then as l got used to it, it became not that big of a deal, but trying to just do the Duel daily? Yeah nah, not happening. So that alone l think this is a very great idea.

Yes, please. I might actually bother with PVP Tribute if this was how it worked.

You can still abandon these type of quests, pick them back up, and get a different one right?

Point being... Since you can always save the one you don't like for last, it doesn't seem too problematic to me that one would be slightly difficult.

I expect that if they eliminated the requirement to win a match they would require more matches to be played. Not a simple one-for-one trade since it makes the quest easier by making it matches played instead of won.

Not speaking against the idea. Just noting the very likely outcome if Zenimax did implement such an idea.

A more solid solution would require six points to complete the quest. A win grants 2 points. Merely completing a match, which is staying until it is over, grants 1 point.

That idea would be more palatable to Zenimax.

No, the daily quest is that you have to win 3 matches against another player. It's not something that changes or gives different options. My point is that it is demoralizing for newer players who may play 9 or 10 matches to win 3, which is off-putting.

They don't change such content in general, but I can't recall anything works that way currently. Zenimax usually just has complete or win, rather than hybrid strategies.

and I did not say it was guaranteed but that it would be more palatable.

I would suggest to others to read my original post as much of the idea and logic does not translate into that one sentence.

I did not say you thought it was guaranteed, I only pointed out that it was less likely. The part that was meant to address the argument of ZOS's palate is to point out that there is no in-game basis for the claim that ZOS would find a hybrid strategy to be superior. Thus far, they have shown a strong preference for granting credit for various things on either completion or a win alone. I hope this helps to clarify my opinion.

for tribute, there are no alternative versions of quests

the pvp tribute one is always "win matches against players" giving you more rewards if you go up to 3 wins (i personally stopped after 1 win just so it would count doing the daily lol)

It would be kind of neat if you were matched against players closer to your Tribute rank, such that unranked players are not likely to compete against a top-100 player.

Once you're ranked, you are matched against other players of your rank in ranked matches. Unfortunately, this is undermined because they make everyone climb each season.

It would not help in casual matches at all as not all players play ranked.
    Edit to clarify:
For example, I play ranked only at the start of the season to get the rewards then immediately switch to casual once I reach rubedite. My rank now is below 500. But that does not mean that I cannot get better rank.

    How's about that:

Either win 1 game or play 3 (without conceding of course).

This way there still would be an incentive to play for the win, while you have a clear limit.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

3 wins can take several hours and sometimes gives 1 Transmute Crystal. It's a sick joke.

Nevermind, I was viewing Recent posts and thought this was for Battlegrounds.

It is more likely than what is suggested in the OP. Hands down. If Zenimax does make a change it will either be along the lines of my first suggestion or second suggestion.

Again, that is based on the if a change happens which is a big if.

lol, well to be honest, 3 wins in pvp tribute can also take hours if you get matched up with good players all the time lol

and tribute doesnt even guarantee transmute crystals, especially if its a loss

Agree. A lot of the time people just wanted a death match so they dont play the objective which means you can go 7-8 matches before you finish at all. Heck i have a hard time getting my daily exp sometimes..

Recently I've run into a lot of players who are clearly purposely waiting until the timer is almost out to pick their decks and play their hands, I'm guessing to make players concede since waiting for the penalty timer would be less time consuming.... ToT matches can already last far longer than a game within a game should ever take even without that kind of behavior. I usually just go for one win and call it a day, but sometimes my patience wears out before I can even do that and I simply abandon the quest. The quest objective being changed to three plays would definitely make the process more fair and bearable, because as it is now.... it's truly not worth the time or my sanity.
