I think U40 new grouping system will not save us from PUG life.

The real problem is not random meeting, but problem is random meeting of untrained people.

Some people come to Vet dungeon without normal dungeon experience. Or some people
doesn't have capability of good performance at the Dragon of Eryswer and HarrowStorm
of the Skyrim, but come to Vet dungeon and kill the ally.

"Hi! I'm tank. LF ally for the group mission." But, where is proof which define the guy is decent tank?"
Or where is proof of DD and Healer?

Without role certification flag system, U40 new grouping tools is same as PUG life.
Or make it worse.

The only way to not have PUG life is to... not PUG. Join a guild. Even a role certification system wouldn't save you from people who don't know mechanics.

I do not agree with this.

It does sound like it might not help you find what you are looking for, but for me, the problem is not playing with unskilled players, but the sort who rush ahead, insult the group, leave at the first sign of difficulty, or do not even say "hello".

As such, the new group finder is in fact likely to improve the grouping experience for me and others like me.

Not about mechanics. (I also don't know most of Trial mechanics.

But, more about lack of basic combat technique.

Some people definitely doesn't have basic overland training or normal dungeon, and doesn't read skill documentation.
(If PC version, press "K") But come to Vet dungeon , and kill their ally. Especially baby tank and crappy healer.

I've been training enough long time through the overland contents as real tank.

One day, I was in the Eryswer. Coincidently, population is very small in that day.
I was CP 1000+little bit. And, there're no people around the Dragon, I thought that it's time to test
my tank skill by the dragon hunting. Then poke the fire dragon's nose, and I kept surviving more than 1 hour
just standing in front of dragon with no healer and no DD. Keep doing solo dragon combat more than 1 hour.

That's the day which I decide to start Vet dungeon running as tank.

You are talking of two different problems.

1. People who join as a non healer or non tank.
2. A learning process. A first time runner.
The first one I don´t if the new group finder can solve. For some maybe, for others, not. Only way to change it, is to make all role specific.

The 2nd one will allways be there, as people have to learn. There will allways be "that" first time, and it´s understandble.

The first one is a bigger problem, as I believe ZoS have no interest in getting rid of it. Too much work maybe.

I can´t stress this enough. We got this tool, to solve the problem our self. Can the community solve it ? It´s for us to discover.

i mentioned this new group maker making no difference in another post also, i am really not thinking its going to help much concerning dungeons but i also said that the more specific you put in details of the group you want the longer it will take for a group to form and hit the actual dungeon finder making also people want to just simply still queue straight away in the group finder. if the dd queue is sometimes long now i suspect this new finder will not be to help with that either. just my thoughts at the moment

I thought it was a game, not a job. Is the point of the game not to have fun, and one way is to have challenges like testing your skills in less than ideal situations? If everyone was great at everything it would be boring.

I misinterpreted the original post as including something about doing mechanics. I agree there’s no predicting how the group will end up working in the hands of the community. We will just find out.

how are people supposed to come to vet dungeons with vet dungeon experience when they've never been there??

everyone has to start with normal and vet dungeons before having experience.

and some people may start with a dungeon on vet before normal because they're the recommended level and believe it'll be fine. they won't know whether or not it's too difficult until they're in the dungeon.

it's like asking people for years of work experience that they couldn't possibly have.

if you're asking for people you don't know then you won't know how experienced they are.

however you can specify champion level with the group finder or add that you want people that have done the dungeon already or understand the mechanics.

There ya go, you do know the solution to your pug life issues. After you've been playing for so long, if you have high expectations of teammates, you should have a list of friends to call on to form a pre-made group and not have to pug.

That's real problem.

Some reliable DD requested me as friend. I accepted.
(maybe, I'm reliable tank)
But after that, never send message for me.
No social contact anymore.
And, mostly "offline".

I want small guild for daily group mission or Trial lesson.

By the way, 60% of pug player in Vet mission are good enough.
I just want to avoid group with 40% of milk drinker.
