Map is blank in the Brass Fortress

When I fast travel to the wayshrine in the Brass Fortress my Map is blank. Just started 4 days ago. Removed all add-ons, and saved variables. Still bugged

Ok read in add-on creators forum this is a known bug in the game and ZOS is working on it.

Not sure why no one from ZOS made a comment on this thread?? Guess they got their hands full with Crown gifting threads

This is bugged on PSNA as well. Don't go to Clockwork very often so just experienced it a couple days ago.

I was in Brass Fortress a couple days ago and it was working again; I assumed they fixed it. Wonder if it's intermittent.

The bug is still there on Xbox.
Only happened so far on a Khajiit wearing a spriggan polymorph (doubt that's relevant, but you never know!!). Has also happened to my OH.

A spriggin polymorph? The character I was on was using one too. I'll take the polymorph off when I get home and see of it makes any difference. Can't hurt to try.

I don't have the spriggan polymorph, don't have polymorphs active on any of my characters, and I've had this issue on PC/NA. I wonder how long it's been active...I never would've noticed it if I hadn't gone to Clockwork to check out the new player house!

Having the polymorph on or off didn't make any difference. Still there on all characters.

I wonder if it's just in certain instances? I haven't checked very recently, but everything was fine during the Telvanni event a few weeks ago when I went to check out the new player house.

One thing I've noticed in other zones/cities is that if the area is busy with a lot of players then the map can be slow to load, although it does eventually load-- for me, at least.

Map is blank when porting to the wayshrine but if you move away it starts working again.

I just went to Brass Fortress to see, and yep, it's completely blank, not simply slow-loading.

What I found is that if you pull up your map or use the wayshrine-- whuch will initially show a blank map-- then select some other zone to see the map there, you can then select the Clockwork City zone and the map will be visible, and you can zoom in on the Brass Fortress and the map will be visible again.

Yeah, that's what just happened to me, too. Very odd bug indeed.

I don't have to move away from the wayshrine at all if I switch the map to some other zone first. I haven't tried moving away from the wayshrine and then checking-- or rather, I did try that initially but it didn't work, although I might not have moved far enough away. When I tried looking at a different zone and that worked, I didn't try simply moving away further to see if that worked. I'll try that later this evening when I'm back in the game.

A couple weeks ago, it was blank for me no matter where I was in Brass Fortress, so seeing it at all when in the city made me think it was fixed.

It's nice knowing these workarounds, though. No matter how often I'm in Brass Fortress, I get turned around and lose my way, so I use the map a lot.

I think I was unable to travel to another zone because on console we only have the map, not a list of zones to use to travel.

I seem to remember that trying to move up one layer on the maps was still blank.

How do you travel to other zones if you can't select them? Are you saying you have to keep zooming out until you get the map of all Tamriel, then zoom in on the particular province/zone you want to go to? That stinks.

That's how I do it by choice. I didn't even know there was a list of locations until a couple of months ago when a friend said something about it.

Yes. That is fine with me though, I prefer a visual method rather than sorting through a list. You just hit the shoulder buttons to zoom in and out.

I've had, and am still having, this issue as well. Sometimes it's not blank but shows an arrange of cogs or gears or something clockworklike.

Talking to someone (like a vendor) and exiting restores the map though.

It's quite a recent thing. I have a character that starts and ends the day in Clockwork. Every Day. For the last year or so.
About a month or so for the bug.
