Great House Hlaalu is a PvP guild first, a roleplaying guild second, plus everything else after that. We will participate in endgame PvE and progression as well as crafting and the economy and each area will have a guild officer devoted to making sure the experience is fully supported. We hope to be a comprehensive community for our members that fulfills all of their social needs in ESO. We are currently recruiting and in search of dedicated, respectful, and mature members.

The guild is inspired by one of the Great Houses of Morrowind. Since the Houses will not be joinable factions in game, player guilds are the only option for fans of TES: III Morrowind and others wanting to join a Great House.

Great House Hlaalu is actually one of the oldest ESO focused guilds in existence. We formed on November 5th, 2012, because I was just that darn excited about this game

We are a US based guild but welcome all international English speaking players. Currently, we have many European members, including some of our guild officers. This means that EU players will have just as much leadership and just as many people to play with. This is actually a large benefit to the guild and we encourage members from other countries to give us a look if they think their internet connection will support play on US servers. The reason is that Cyrodiil is persistent warfare and having members from many time zones ensures that we can have a persistent presence.

We accept all races and classes, in keeping with our open-minded nature.

Here's what you need to know:

What We Offer:

1. A Competitive Yet Friendly PvP Experience: GHH is made up of many talented and competitive gamers. I myself prefer fighting other players over fighting NPCs any day. Our officers have extensive experience in MMO PvP like Guild Wars 2, Star Wars the Old Republic, World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot, and much more. Many of us have competitive experience across several genre's of gaming. There is no challenge like fighting another thinking human being and PvP in ESO is going to be something special. Cyrodiil is the cornerstone of this game in the eyes of many and some view it as the first meaningful large scale persistent war since Dark Age Of Camelot.

Because of this, capturing territory, taking Elder Scrolls, crowning an Emperor, and defeating the other Alliances is one of our primary goals. We hope and expect to have a large impact in our campaign and to be one of THE dominant guilds in Cyrodiil.

However, we are also a social community and we discourage a lot of the 1337 (leet) behavior that often comes with competition. We are friends first and foremost and we do not believe in shaming failure, forcing builds on people, or any other of the shenanigans you may have seen in competitive guilds over the years. We will enforce a code of conduct among all members that basically boils down to: be nice.

2. A Community for Role Playing and Art: This aspect of the guild is already up and running on our website forums. Our entire guild is built on a lore friendly back story. You'll see that many of our members enjoy writing stories, creating art for their characters, and participating in collaborative forum RP.

Rolepaying isn't required of our members (and many don't do it much in game), but we fully support this style of play and encourage people who haven't tried it before to give us a look.

3. A Tight Nit and Helpful Gaming Community: The best guilds become almost like a family. The social aspect can make or break an MMO. We have experienced guild leaders here to make sure that our community is a strong one and that this can be a place where you are comfortable to ask questions, look for help, and, above all, build friendships.

4. Advice and Support: GHH members can expect help leveling, crafting, getting loot, finishing tough quests, and more. All of our officers and many of our members have been in the ongoing Beta test for the Elder Scrolls Online known as the "Psijic Order." We'll have councilors specifically dedicated to helping members with their progression through the game and offering advice on builds, gear, and other character choices.

5. Crafting and Economy: Unsurprisingly for a guild based on the Great House known for commerce and business, GHH members are very excited about the crafting and economic systems of the game. One of our key goals in Cyrodiil will be to set up a guild store in a strategic location and never EVER lose it. In fact, we had already claimed our first keep just over an hour after the servers opened. Members can expect good prices (down to free) on various crafted equipment as they level. Our public facing Guild Store will be a place for you to vend your wares and make some gold.

6. Voice Chat Server: Our guild currently hosts a TeamSpeak server open to all members.

What We Expect:
1. Activity: Member activity can make or break the experience. We like our members to stay active on our website. Log in at least once a week and post something. Rolepalying is popular, but even if you aren't into RP we will expect you show up and particpate. You can post about your builds, recent news, general talk about the game, other games you play, and more in our general sections.

We also expect members to be active in the game. We are not a hardcore guild and we do not plan to have strict event attendance requirements. However, we do expect members to RSVP to events most of the time. If you can't make it, say so. Knowing who will and won't be there is important for us to plan. If you never attend guild events, you may hear form a guild officer asking why. As long as your reasons are good, we don't expect to be kicking anyone out of the guild. If you need to take an extended absence, just let us know. So there are no hard and fast rules about participation, but expect a message if you don't log in for a month or something.

2. Voice Chat: We are currently using the voice program TeamSpeak for our in-game chat. We do not expect all members to have a microphone or actively participate in voice chat, though we strongly prefer it. At minimum however, members participating in PvP must have the chat client downloaded and be present in the channel during events. Even if you can't talk, you need to be able to hear.

3. Be Friendly: There's nothing wrong with a good natured ribbing, but we expect our members to treat each other and our officers with respect. Though we're considerably less friendly with our enemies on the battlefield!

4. Passion and Dedication: To the game and to the guild. We want players who are as excited about ESO as we are. While we do allow multi-guilding, we'd like for our guild to be one of your fouces in the game, not a secondary or tertiary group.

How To Join:
Our main website is hosted through Guild Launch. All applications should go through this site:

If you want, you're welcome to come into our TeamSpeak to get to know us before applying.
