No furnishing flora drops in Morrowind plant nodes or shroom beetles

My guild has reported that not a single one of the new flora housing furnishings has dropped from plant harvest nodes or shroom beetles. Unless the drop rate is on a scale the size of the universe against us getting anything, please look into this as a possible bug. We are a housing guild, and one of my members has been keeping a rough estimate and has killed and harvested over 700 times and received nothing.

A week later and none of us have gotten any flora furnishings in Vvardenfell from any of the source nodes. Have other players gotten anything? I still think this needs to be looked into.

I have personally harvested about 1300 cloth plant, flower, mushroom, water plant nodes and shroom beetles and found no Flora furnishings.

I did have one guildmate find a "Grass, Foxtail Cluster" on a Jute cloth node. I am not sure if the level of the node is a problem as I harvest at max level (ancestor silk) for those.

I have gotten an urn furnishing from an urn in a tomb, and several dwemer gear furnishings from dwemer constructs in a public dungeon, but no plants from plants.

It's really crazy how scarce they are if they are dropping. I haven't heard of anyone getting anything from a shroom beetle yet.

I got several mushrooms (alchemy ingredients), decorative wax, and bait but no furnishing drops. Is it in the patch notes that they are supposed to drop plans or furnishing items?

Harvesting-Related Furnishing Rewards
Mushrooms and plants in Vvardenfell will rarely produce accompanying foliage or fungi when harvested. Beetles with fungal infestations may, as well.

Beetles do drop mushrooms. I got a Namira Rot off one. But after killing quite a few beetles, I found out that the effort wasn't nearly worth it, and simply stopped. The time taken to kill and loot 100 beetles for 1 mushroom is a huge waste of effort.

Also, alchemy nodes do drop plant furnishings. But the droprate is in the molecular level. after intensive farming of several hours, I have gotten a grand total of 2 green plants. Guild stores are also extremely scarce, I have bought maybe 3-4 of the green plants, and 1 single blue plant - the only blue furnishing plant from Vvardenfell I have seen in the game so far (pitcher plant).

So they do exist, but the plant furnishings are dropping on the atomic scale, most likely to push you into the Crown store and buy them overpriced when you're fed up with farming for them.

This seems to be a trend with this chapter; I am having all kinds of difficulty getting parts for the Forgotten Wastes costume. I've spent hours and hours farming that place and have only obtained 3 pieces (and 2 of those pieces were a duplicate!).

I had absolutely no problem farming the dwemer constructs for the non-combat parts - they dropped within a few hours. In fact, I found enough parts for 2 pets (I have 2 accounts)...and even a few extra parts to sell. The robe...days...and hardly any.

It seems like the more I try to farm for something, the harder it is to get it. RNG is terrible or the drop rate is really, really low on certain items...or perhaps there is an anti-farming mechanism kicking in.

Actually getting the Sixth robe costume is the least of your troubles, it will drop way mroe often than any purple Vvardenfell recipes, more often than any flower furnishings from the overland map, more often than the Armiger motif.

But you are right, everything about this DLC spells GRIND and RNG in huge, red neon letters. It's like they realised how quickly people would go through the normal notent, so they artificially made it last longer just with these extremely low droprates in unique furnishing related loot.

I would like to clarify, the furnishing items that you can possibly pick off the plants and different bug are only for Morrowind, correct? You can't get those by picking plants in rest of Tamriel?

Yes, only in Vvardenfell, not the rest of Tamriel.

I agree with others' assessment that the extreme grind is very frustrating. This will not force me to go to the crown store to buy the new plants either, this kind of tactic, along with offering special houses for a few days in the crown shop, only turns me off and makes me just boycott the crown shop altogether. I already bought the Chapter, I already sub, I will not be diverted to spending more. I'll either get them in game or I won't, in which case I'll go without. This is not fun by any means. Endless grinding makes me end up looking for other things to do that are more rewarding.

Well, I have some number so far this week (and definitely not exclusively farming nodes as there is so much else to do!)

Shroom Beetles: 174 = no flora furnishing

Ancestor Silk Nodes: 37 = no flora furnishing (there seems to be a real lack of cloth nodes...)

Flowers: 62 = no flora furnishing

Mushrooms: 28 = no flora furnishing

Water Plants: 23 = no flora furnishing

I will try to do more but kinda thought a 1 in 100 drop chance for the green flora furnishings seems fair and of course blue (and purple?) flora would be rarer...

In an hour of fishing (cumulative), I've gotten roughly 6 aquatic-themed housing items.

Out of several hundred plant nodes, I've yet to see ANY housing items other than the occasional ingredient.

Ok, more numbers as I spent almost all of yesterday farming on Vvardenfell.

768 Shroom Beetles = NO furnishing

170 Ancestor Silk Nodes = 1 furnishing! (Plant, Bitter Stalk)

190 Flower = NO furnishing

114 Mushrooms = No furnishing

64 Water Plants = No furnishing

While I was very happy to get a furnishing finally it doesn't really tell us much about the drop rate. I would need to get several to make any sort of guess:(

There is not a Namira's Rot furnishing, he was refering to the fact Shroom Beetles do occasionally drop provisioning mushrooms. 🙂

Just found this, where someone says he dropped mushrooms from shroom beetles. the question was about furniture drops, not sure what he meant with his answer

There are mushroom furnishings, some of which you can buy from various zone furnishing vendors, glowing ones occasionally available from the luxury furnishing vendor or guild traders, many more available for Crowns, and also some from Witches’ Festival coffers.

yeah ik that. but im not interested in that type of items, i only collect rare furnishing drops. have all of the haloween ones i think. only missing 8 drops from all those rare drops, all of them from Vvardenfell

Ahh, I haven’t found any reference to a Namira’s Rot furnishing. I did find a list of furnishings with the possibility to drop from harvest nodes in Vvardenfell (the thread is “Furniture that can be farmed”) but no Namira’s Rot was listed.

The only furnishings I can recall finding anywhere while harvesting were burnt sticks, lol.

Yeah i found that list too some time ago. Unfortunally its not containing 100% of the drops, remade and completed that list few months ago. Unfortunally its only in the german forum part as my game is german and i was too lazy to translate the whole thing
