Is it just me or.....

Is it just me or are repair bills/durability part of the game just a big joke? You lose way too much durability from everyday things, and to little from death. To repair....wow, better get the kids out working or a 2nd mortage is in your future.

Is it just me or is veteran rank/lower levels interaction a joke. When I level up in any other game, I like the ability to explore the world somewhat unharnessed. At lvl 50 aka vt rank 1, a lvl 5 shouldn't be able to even touch me, however it can kill me. At 50/vt1 I should be able to wipe out a lower dungeon in record times, not losing durability or worried about dying, not in this game. So what is the perk of being high level. Access to new content with a feeling of inadequacy? Cause right now I'm redoing the other 2 factions, and getting blown away by mobs, something I never experienced in my 1-50 grind. I guess I could go do like my guildmates, they are farming one instance, forever, til their limbs go numb and they brains get addled. I mean you do that in mmo's, to get gear. NOT TO LEVEL. Bethesda, give your head a *** shake.

It's just you, apparently you're one of those cheapskates that declined the armor warranty at the checkout counter.

    It's actually a thing.

If you are grinding with a group, you take large hits to your armor's durability for no reason.

Just one of the 1000 broken things ESO is.

you are not alone...Armor hits and repair costs are way over-the-top. as is respecting. Why do you think gold sellers are so successful in this game?

    No, it's not just you.

There is another large thread going on concerning this issue, as well as trying to figure out exactly how it works. Don't take my linking it as me saying that you shouldn't have created a thread about it; because I like seeing new people independently coming to the issues, and not being afraid to discuss the issue.

Here is that other thread I was referring to. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/85620/rapid-gear-decay/p1

    Like any other game.

I don't find respecting or repairing that expensive.

If you let your armor get almost destroyed it will cost you alot. Try repairing it earlier, it's like 200-400 gold max.

I'm also getting killed a lot in veteran areas. It's frustrating but it's also rewarding when you hone your skills and manages to take out groups of monsters you previously didn't stand a chance against. Not because of gear, but because of honing your skills. What, you want WoW style? Going back to /flex your uber skills and have people swoon in adoration for your prowess? Seriously? Is this an MMO or a Strong Man competition?

There's no inadequacy, when you're at veteran ranks, you have a hell of a lot more power than you have before, and you have a hell of a lot more resistance one way or the other than before. You're a hell of a lot stronger than before, but that doesn't mean you're The Terminator in lower areas. What's the use of running through lower dungeons anyway when you're far more superior than the dungeon's difficulty? Again to feel "mighty" without the actual work? It's like the PvPers in WoW that have to go back to low level land and camp low levels and brag about how powerful they are in PvP, put them in a real fight and they succumb like hell, and then they yell that your class is OP.

Want to feel superior? Well when you can manage to get down VR opponents without dying and squeal like a little girl that the bad man hurt your finger, then you're superior. It's about skills, not about blasting things down because you're that good. If you can't get things down you're not that good to be in VR areas, go back to normal difficulty and come back when you're ready.

Respec is short for Respecify (or Respecification). Respecting is something different. Don't worry, I've been using the term "Faceroll" all wrong up until someone corrected me on the forums.
