Droprate yellow Tannins, Resins and Tempers doesn't exist anymore? - Deconstruct

I'm a maxed crafter in Woodworking, Enchanting and Blacksmithing.
So after x dungeons and gathering resources I have a lot to Create and Deconstruct, and do this practically every day

Since couple of weeks I don't see Yellow parts anymore when deconstructing. Is this changed so we won't get Yellow parts anymore?
Only time I see a small chance for Yellow is via Crafting Writs.

They are still dropping. Tempering Alloys have really been hard for me to get lately, but Rosin and Dreugh Wax seem about the same.

That said, I don't think I've even gotten a gold temper from deconning non-gold loot.

I have been getting good luck getting gold tempers from refining beginning area mats. Sucks farming them but it is easy.

Do you have the hirelings? I don't get a chance to play as much as I used to but I get more golds from hirelings than any other source.

All skills in crafting are up and on level50. Hirelings are 3/3, and for few weeks none yellow parts. And I'm one that log in at morning and evening, everyday.

In the past when deconstructing I've had a average amount of yellow, now I even don't get it anymore.

The only way you will get yellow crafting bits from deconstruction is if you are breaking legendary items regularly (not something most of us do).

You can't get yellow parts from items that AREN'T yellow, because there are none used in the creation of that item. You always have a chance to get yellow tempers from refining raw materials, and this is certainly the best way to find them. Yellow tempers are rarely found when refining- other sources are hirelings and crafting writs.

You can only get tempers of a corresponding color to the item being destroyed- green items may give green temper, but never blue or higher. You can break purple items all day but you will never get a yellow temper for doing it. I have learned this painful lesson from experience :'(

I find writs most productive when it comes to tempers.

    Then refining.

Hirelings seem worthless for legendary tempers.

As mentioned above, deconstruction only gives the colour of the item. Though recently I've been seeing "No Usable Materials" a lot more often :(

Unless you're getting yellow drops from dungeons, you're not getting yellow upgrade mats. Dungeons don't drop yellow gear...

Hireling, refining raw mats and writs are the only way to get them

I get plenty of them refining, but I also have a hard time passing raw mats without grabbing them.

I get lots of the yellow ones from refining raw material but not that many purples. Think I have around 2X as many yellows as grapes for smithing and woodworking, clothing is about even.

Then you're a very lucky one  As for today I got one from a Blacksmithing Crafting Writ.

Your "luck" roll occurs when you step up to a crafting table. Refine 20-30 raw mats. If you haven't received an upgrade mat at all, then step away from the table completely, reenter the crafting table interface, and repeat until you do get an upgrade mat in the first 20-30 raw mat refinements. Once you do, then refine all of your raw mats at that table. This will greatly increase your odds of getting upgrade mats.

I think they actually mean refining.

I normally get 1-2 gold refining materials per stack of 200 raw materials, and did so last night, so there's doesnt appear to be any change for me.

This has been a strange one for me, 4 weeks ago I was getting bunches of wax, through deconstructing and hirelings. Then it switched to Gold tempers for some reason and now not a wax to be seen anywhere.

There are many ways to worship rngesus. I sacrifice goats to Boethiah at sunrise. I am very often refining thousands of mats in one batch. There is no initial luck roll. Large batches always gravitate to long term average. Sometimes RNG gives streaks of jackpot numbers, and goats give better streaks, i swear with my hand on top of pile of left boots of Imperium.

To OP, the chance has not changed. I refined about 9000 raw mats today and got 4.4% legendaries from refinements. It is one of the worst results, but still close to long term average of 5%. All batches over 5000 have been between 4 and 6 percent. Must sacrifice more goats...

HAHAHA, I enjoyed reading this. Please at least eat the goat meat after making your sacrifice.

In the last week I've refined 2.9k of metal, 2.2k cloth, and 2.9k wood... and got absolutely zero gold mats, and in the case of the wood, no purple mats either! ZOS are saying it's an RNG issue but the metal and cloth were done immediately after each other. I've been on Thai game for 5 years and never had this issue. I don't always get a lot of gold mats but I at least get some. Are ZOS right in that this is just bad luck on RNG or is there a bug?
