Helpful Addons and solutions for visually impaired Players - presentation Video and exchange

Greetings and thanks for reading and sharing.
As a today visually impaired ESO Player I was on the search for helpful Modders, Adons and ideas and read through many forum posts of people on the same search. To give these people a place to find some help also in the future i want to share this Information and space today with you. In the end we all participate from people saying “oh wait, I heard of something that might help you” in the right moment 😊

This Video aims to present the FCO Accessibility Addon for the PC Version of The Elder Scrolls Online working together with many more great Addons to enhance the Built in Accessibility Mode of the Game in 2023. The well known Addon Creator Baertram started the Work on this originally for me, a today visually impaired ESO Fan, but the goal is to also give many others a chance to have an access to this nice game.

The addon was created for visually impaired Players and uses the accessibility mode of ESO, like the chat reader, to provide information to the chat, or play sounds to ease the navigation. Together with many other Helpful Addons, which will be announced and presented in the Video as well as lested in the Description on ESOUI, it can give some decisive better experiences. Please check the Link above to the Download of the Addon on ESOUI for more detailed information and / or a Pack Download of the described Mod-List to make thinks a little easier for the visually impaired using Dropbox.
If you are a Modder yourself, please check if you could add some optional narrated information to your Addon as well, every little help helps others. Thank you very much! This addon uses d() debug messages to print chat to your locally viewed chat where the accessibility "chat reader" will read it to you. IMPORTANT: If you use LibDebugLogger and DebugLogViewer the d() debug messages of addons will be kept in the DebugLogViewer UI, where the accessibility "chat reader" is not able to read them from! If you enable accessibility mode's "chat reader" you must disable DebugLogViewer (LibDebugLogger can be kept enabled if needed for other addons!) in order to make this addon's text2chat features here work (the sound features work with DebugLogViewer enabled too), or to make other addon d() messages be read by the "chat reader"! I also recommend to disable the companion pin at the compass, via the game's UI settings! This will stop making the companion pin overlay other quest/group rally point/group leader/waypoint/or other compass pins! As already said, check the full details on ESOUi and GitHub too :)

Sadly, there are still things in the game that are not accessible for visually impaired Players like the Map and some more differentiated Dialoge interactions with NPCs more than just press proceed. Also a implementation of 3D Sound beacons for Waypoints or Players would be an enormous help, so you could hear the directions not onliy when looking at them. I really hope putting some more focus on accessibility for the blind might motivate the game designers to give the games integrated Accessibility and menu readers some additional features for Map, Dialogs etc. Still I am thankful for what the game designers already did and the creators of all the nice and helpful addons aswell.

I use the blue light feature on my pc, and i use the same settings on any game that i play as well. 24/7, that means if i am ever using my pc and/or my smartphone, the blue light filter is on at the very least, just to protect my eyes as much as possible.

This changes my gameplay experiences dramatically, and in fact, ruins them. But since using these devices normally hurt my eyes, i just have no other choice.

Imagine that you are an Arcanist main, but you can't experience and enjoy the " bright green color" theme of it.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's addon related.

    Thank you for your understanding
