Do companion skills still level after they're max level?

So I got my Mirri to be max level, so when I kill ads I don't get a notification saying she gets xp anymore. However I'm still trying to level up her medium armor line and I can't tell if it's making progress anymore, can anyone confirm that armor/weapons still level up when our companions are max level? She is wearing 5 pieces of medium armor btw.

    yes, they still get xp for skill lines even if they are max level

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

    Yes. I have changed Ember from healer to DPS after she was completely leveled.
