Give us the option to hide vampirism

If I want to do any PvP I'm almost always forced to be a vampire and it looks awful, vampires in the story have the ability to hide their vampirism so why can't we?. Before anyone comes saying that there are some skins that hide it, I don't want to use any skin, I want the clean mortal look.

This is why I want a skin that DOESNT have face markings. If ZOS doesn’t want hide vampirism for some reason (I mean, you can cover yourself head-to-toe in armor and no one will see your vampirism so I don’t see why a hide vampirism option would be controversial), at least make a blank or mostly blank skin.

Use an toned down skin who just cover part of your body, did that and it works perfectly on an Khajiit.
    I uses:

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Do'Krin_Ascetic's_Henna
See you said no skin, but stuff like this is the best option. And I say even better looking on non Khajiit.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I thought about using it but my reason for hiding vampirism is RP purposes, so if there’s any parts of the skin visible it doesn’t work because it doesn’t fit the character and is added/removed.

For me it was getting rid of the washed out and creepy look, because of gear little shows anyway, just tail an forhead and its tasteful so it work.
Still selling an totally transparent skin for 5000 crowns would be idiotic easy money.
Was not aware of this myself thought skins and body markings was pretty much the same but later remove Khajiit fur pattern but an skin like this preserve it but hide vampirism.

Granted she has lots of black and stuff would probably be much more visible with an skimpy outfit and other races.

I hope this option would not be considered, or even a skin to hide vampirism for that matter. I can’t recall any vampire npcs that look normal. You can’t take the benefits and make the downsides go away.

Shouldn’t players be able to tell you are a vampire before engaging in PvP, so they have an idea of your abilities?

    A certain NPC in Rivenspire...
    Verandis Ravenwatch

You can wear a polymorph or full-body armor and no one will see the vampirism skin. Besides, is there really anything to look out for when it comes to vampires? They have Undeath passive sure... so does most people in PvP.

So basically, you want to have all the benefits of being a vampire without being a vampire?

What percentage of PvPers are actually vampires?

based on the amount of people i see complain about the meta and basically say vamp is required, i would probably say at least 70% lol

i personally dont run vamp on my pvp toon, never have and i got him up to alliance rank 50 lol
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

You mean without being forced to use the visual system that ZOS decided to place on being a vampire that is in direct contradiction of Elder Scrolls vampire lore?

You gotta understand...in the lore, there's only one clan/strain of vampires that can look almost human. And you look like 'that guy' trying to be from that one strain to justify not looking like an undead monster with the benefits of an undead monster. You gotta realize from a lore/roleplay point of view that it's extremely 'that guy' and edgy to claim you're from that one strain.

Only one strain... and every other vampire hiding their nature by story requirement ever, even if their affliction may or may not be visible once the hiding is over.

    Like Verandis.

2 words: illusion magic. My vampire can’t hide it on his own, he has an enchanted amulet. Besides, not everyone cares about the lore. I also don’t know what you’re talking about with there only being one strain that can do that.

Look, at this point I can equip many skins that are just tattoos and they completely remove the vampire look, you are talking like we are playing 2014 ESO. Just give me a little bit more than that, no tattoos, just hide the vampire skin.

The greymoor or markarth redguard vampire looks like a mortal and every single skin in the game hides vampirism so I don't know what you are talking about, I'm just asking for that but without any look to it, a transparent skin maybe. And about the PvP part, everyone is a vampire so no need to guess.

Looking like a vampire is part of the experience, I wouldn't want that. What they should do instead is nerf Undeath and make every other skill relevant. The vampire experience is lacking in general, you don't often get to feel like one. @ZOS_Kevin It's been so many years since Greymoor, could we please get a revamp? Pun intended. Werewolves are mostly fine, performance aside, you get to feel like one at least. Feeding system for vampires could be better, so you need to stalk people in the cities and drink more often, or something. Nerfing Undeath could be a nice solution for those forced to be one in PvP. :pensive: I know it's an extremely difficult to balance thing, I feel for the devs.

This could also be a nice solution, but another problem is the unnatural movement passive for nightblades.

The fact that we didn't even get an updated vampirism texture in Greymoor :/
I was expecting them to update vampire appearance and implement head morph swaps to add fangs to vampire characters. As to the hiding vampirism thing, I don't think we'll get anything like that beyond paid skins that replace it with something esle that is also annoying.

+ Vampires are a mess. Mandatory in PvP, useless in PvE, an ugly plastic doll transformation... I don't think anyone is satisfied with how they turned out.

We need a re-revamp, I just hope ZOS is aware that we don't need a full blown chapter for it.

Also what's up with people thinking they're a vampire loremaster or something.

Relegate the stage looks to skins. Make all of them opt-in.

Having character visuals be variable with limited control over was a bad idea in the first place.
