debuff question (newbie)

hi everyone ! sorry for the newbie question. been only playing for 2months or so... anyway i was doing daily BG and then all of a sudden my character cant run and first i thought my shift key broke so had to alt+tab and check if its broken or what... (yeah so newbie really ! LOL!) anyway i found out that i got this debuff and dunno how it can be removed on BG. it persist even thou i died and re spawned.
that debuff time is kinda insane ! anyway after the BG debuff is now gone. i just wanna know what i can do next time this happens.

    those are visual bugs and shouldnt actually be applying anything to your character

    its something that frequently seems to happen in pvp, likely because of a desync

    they go away if you re-zone (such as leaving a BG, or if your in cyro, entering and leaving a delve or cheesemongers)

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Gotta be a bug. Crippling Grasp is a nightblade cc that immobilizes for 2 seconds, not 6 hours. LOL. You should also be able to see it if you have your color settings adjusted.

    BGs is a lovely mess of desyncs, bugs, and fun. Just have to live with it

    its actually 49710 days lol

    very common bug in pvp in general that persists until you rezone, but its purely visual, i think it was something about a bug when the debuff expires but instead of the timer desyncs and has a integer overflow which is why it shows 49710 days but in 99% of cases does not actually do anything

    haha yeah but its actually 49k days not 6hrs :D

    anyway i had a hint it was a bug since it says 49k days but i was not sure since im still quite new to the game.

    oh its just visual ? i thought i was unable to run coz everyone from my team was outpacing me. :D

    yeah 99% of the time they are only visual bugs and have no impact (i say 99% because there are people that have reported that the infinite debuffs such as stuns could be effectively permanent like sorc streak)

    these debuffs may appear like they are still affecting you, such as if you have burning your character will appear on fire, even though you take no dmg, if you get a breach debuff stuck on you, it shows the effect of the cracked hp bar but you suffer no armor reduction, bugged mangle debuff shows effect of shrunken hp bar but its not actually reducing your hp, etc

    there are similar bugs where people have reported being permanently stunned after a sorc streak and having to ccbreak repeatedly until they ran out of stam, and there are also bugs ive seen where if you get affected by a knockback you will get in a bugged state where you cannot sprint and move slower

    almost all of these happen because of desyncs which usually only occurs in pvp
