Should telvanni towers ugly fleshy textures be recolored?

While I wouldn't mind some recolouring of the pink bits you seem to be forgetting this bit here :

"During the Middle Merethic Era, Aldmeri explorers mapped the coasts of Vvardenfel [sic], building the First Era High Elven wizard towers at Ald Redaynia, Bal Fell, Tel Aruhn, and Tel Mora in Morrowind."

and "The original First Era High Elven wizard towers along the coasts of Tamriel were also abandoned about [The late Merethic]"

    Found in en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Before_the_Ages_of_Man.

So it is not inconceivable that the Telvanni took up the towers and grew mushrooms around them. I could even imagine them telling people they grew them on their own to show off their power while 700 years later the mushrooms had grown so much both around and upwards that they looked indistinguishable than if they were grown all the way up from the ground..

Tel Uvirith is of course another matter, magical growing technology aimed to quickly expand Telvanni territory

So really the colour is the main problem and that can also change with growth and maturity of a mushroom.

Ooh, so there was something there already. Good catch, I'd forgotten that book! Combine that with TheShadowScout's reply about renewing the tower and I'm happy to drop this one :)

Eh, mostly. The colour is still a bit off, and I'm sure there's a way to make it look more mushroomy and less blobby.

Oh yes. I'm very sure that ZoS will change the textures of the towers just because you are oversensitive and probably with intolerance to anything gritty or even remotely gory, so that you can return to being in your safe zone.

The mushrooms are natural flora for Morrowind and especially Vvardenfell, there's nothing even remotely wrong with them growing the towers. It actually provides a nice and gritty, eerie effect. After all, the Telvanni mages are more often than not fairly greedy, evil and even deal with Daedra for immortality as you'll see in this xpac.

This is a mature game, please go elsewhere if such things "disgust" or frighten you. Ta.

Maybe make them less flesh atro looking and more fungal would be good,,,but then alot can happen in 700 years of growth and development.

I know I'm necro'ing an old thread but is not without a reason :)
I've seen a vid or two showing the new house from the event, Kelesan'ruhn, a mushroom home.
As much as I like Telvanni towers and shroom magic ones in Morrowind, I can't get why they changed the design so much fom the original.

The original had a lot of vines, and a natural organic feel without the pink fleshy corprus like steaks pasted everywhere.

I would have some of those as "corrupted towers" with corprus like infections and creatures to fight inside, but not as homes.

I like to relax in a game home. Natural tones and nice furnitures. That flesh everywhere does not match the original and is more irking than relaxing XD Just my two cents and of course, is just an opinion.

    Greetings,

We have closed this topic as it was originally created in May 2017. In many cases, it's better to create a new thread on a topic that you want to discuss as opposed to bumping one that is rather old.

    Thank you for your understanding.
