Bug or intentional injustice?

I wanted to point out the bug or inconvenience that Elemental Susceptibility breaks the NB cloak and invisibility itself using their status effects. You play extra NB in the imperial city to be kept out of PvP and hide. Then there is this stupid add-on that provides enemies with information about player activities on the other side, i.e. the activation of abilities like the Cloak, for example. This means that these players are always informed that you are nearby and unfortunately I was forced into a house with no escape route (pushed into a corner) and I put all the magicka + that of a potion in the cloak to always camouflage myself because the stupid status effects reveal you . The other player waits and knows exactly, "wherever it comes from" -> Addon that you are there -> and of course kills you when you run out of magicka.

Why is this possible? Shouldn't a cloak make it invisible and not be broken by any effect? Why are the other players waiting? Ban such addons that even reveal the presence of other players!!!
I have learned that in such situations it is better to press Alt -> F4 so as not to reward this complacent wait-and-see style of play.
Please fix these game errors, in combination with the addons it's just sad.

a lot of people run detect pots now because of the increased radius (something like 40-45 meters now), especially in IC

i dont think this is an addon thing
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

They are. The only thing addons can notify you of now is if there is an enemy nearby that you could have possibly seen.

There is no addon that reveals nightblades, nor is there an addon that tells you there is an invisible enemy nearby. ZOS removed the API access for such addons a long time ago.

I don't use this addon because it offers unfair advantages but I've heard about it:
Here are the results of a short Google search -> Miat's PVP Alerts
    That could be it.

"The only thing addons can notify you of now is if there is an enemy nearby" what is the name of this addon, that is unfair if players are already informed about the presence and therefore search more intensively.

A lot of players are running detect pots now. NB has gotten a huge range of buffs over the past 18 months resulting in the class becoming very strong in PvP and extremely common in PvP zones which has inevitably resulted in players finding and using available counters for that class as much as possible (detect pots, skills and sets).

I've never heard of an addon that tells you an enemy is nearby that you have not seen yet. Not since miats got reworked due to the API access being revoked a long time ago. The closest thing to this, is the new in game chat feature (introduced last patch by ZOS) that displays kills in the chat box, but if you aren't killing anything then that won't alert them to your presence at all.

Leaving a trail of dead NPCs will also give away that a NB is in the area, you don't need any addon or alert or whatever for that and players hunting NBs will easily follow the trail of dead NPCs to a NB. Don't forget also that bosses in IC have a reveal radius that de-cloak any invisible characters around them.

My guess is other players were hunting NBs in IC (very common lately) and they are very adept at it using detect pots and know all the hiding spots.

Maybe it was changed but here a year ago it looks like opponents are being displayed.

An update this year broke the player counter feature

Every defensive tool has its counters, even cloak. Can you imagine the outcry if cloak was even more OP than it is now?

TBF the quickness with which some players hit you with Ele Sus, even with no warning that you were in the area, makes me think that someone has written an addon that automatically casts it on an enemy as soon as they appear. Could just be super-tuned reflexes, though.

    Add-ons can't do that.

You can't just "write an addon" to do whatever you want. ZOS has final say in their API - in layman's terms, they control what data addons can read and what inputs addons can have control over.

What youre referring to would be a script, not an addon, and would be grounds for getting banned.
