That might not be enough depending on the difficulty of the content and the competence of the rest of the party, but in that case you’re a bad healer not a fake one.
I avoid the issue by running the heals myself.

I see.
But if healer can't do effective healing work, then it's ALMOST fake, right?

You have to at the very least bring major courage to the group. If you're not then you're a fake healer.

I feel most of PUG healer of random team is not so helpful.
They mostly don't have emergency healing skill for the team member.
Just cast "orb" or something but that's all, and let DD die so many times during combat.
Just why? Are they fake?

I tried tank pugging Vet Lair of Maarselok today.
The "healer" was not a healer. And even stated that.
Arcanist doesn't have an on demand burst heal. She's a tank that needs a real healer.
Maybe a Warden Polar wind tank could handle it. But Arcanist tanks weak spot is healing.

While i dont disagree that potentially less experienced arc tanks may have an issue with this im able to self sustain when needed. Its not easy but i can. I tanked moonhunter hm without one. We would have cleared if the dps hadnt died. The healer should have been with them, not me. I was holding half the room plus both wolves and the boss ok. When the dds went down i held the boss, the wolves and all the adds for a solid 30 seconds before i went down. The tank is never supposed to do that. Dd keep one wolf down and mop up at least some of the adds in basic strats. I cant say ive needed a healer for me for any vet dungeon but i also havent tanked coral or scriveners on vet so they might be different. If i truely need a burst i slot vigor.

Well I only pug. I don't do premade groups.
We're just rolling the dice and hoping we can do it. If I have to be a real tank, then I expect those that queue for healer to be a real healer. It's the job they signed up for.
Sometimes the DD's have poor damage as well.
What you get is a random mixed bag.
Well, just queued for 2 Random Veteran Dungeons as tank, both had fake healers where one even kept stealing my taunts which killed the whole party.
Wasted my lunch break.
I see some people already gave their opinion, but I feel like this isn't answered yet:AvalonRanger wrote: »

You can actually do too much healing. A good healer also provides buffs, debuffs targets and helps with resource management. A lot of dungeons don't actually need a dedicated healer. This obviously depends on the dungeon, mode and group.
That's why premade group for dungeon trifecta achievements doesn't use a dedicated healer anymore, but a tank and 3 DD's with some minor changes to their regular setup.

"You can actually do too much healing. A good healer also provides buffs"
Maybe.
But I'm wielding SPC. I've been studying healer build at the wiki page enough.
And, saved many of low-Lv DD. And let them good work by my healing.
