Tank is bad, group fails, whatever. DPS is bad, well then its just suffering through trying to make up for their poor damage.

Stressful is dps who stand way up the back of the area and are dying. More annoying because they are just missing out on all the buffs as well as healing.
Healer tip: If you are a dps and you stand behind the healer, don't expect any heals or buffs. I'll get around to healing you maybe when the rest of the group standing together are healed and buffed.

btw A good tank and a healer with low dps can clear a dungeon, it just takes a bit longer. Unless the dungeon has a dps check of course.

Low DPS damage Dealers just extend the suffering of your supports which is made worse when they stand in stupid or just don't do mechanics.

Most tanks usually know where their hp scaling heal is so you don't have to tend to them as much.

people queued as tanks who don't taunt or even do anything tanks are supposed to do either
which often makes the boss direct its damage onto me who's supposed to heal people and not tank.

people who wear pale order of use blood frenzy.
i cannot heal them so why are they even in a group?

people who don't interrupt
though that's stressful in all roles it's worse when im supposed to heal and not focus on interrupting.
it's especially stressful in Red Petal Bastion during the Prior Thierric fight when people die if he is not interrupted or he gains health when the mini bosses aren't interrupted.

fake tanks and healers are people who queue as those roles specifically to get into a random dungeon faster for their daily ten transmute crystals. who do not care about group play.

new and inexperienced damage dealers aren't fake.
they can be annoying especially when they queue as tanks or healers, when they stand in aoes, or don't interrupt anything, but they really aren't fake.

damage dealer is the default role.
everyone who doesn't make a build specifically for tank or healer and queues for those roles is a damage dealer.
calling people fake or useless when they're just new and inexperienced is unnecessarily rude.

Definitely fake tank. A tank should be able to sustain themselves and allow the healer to spread their heal across all the party members, if at any point I have to focus 100% on a single person because of their build then if something happens the group will almost assuredly wipe.

Fake DPS does exist, but I agree with you that it's not low damage that makes a fake DPS. What makes a fake DPS is a healer or a tank queueing as DPS. Believe it or not, it does happen and I hate it even more than a fake support. It's happened at least twice that I've queued as a healer to see a DPS casting radiating regeneration. I quit immediately, I already feel useless as a healer in dungeons I'm not letting other people also do my job.

I am quite indecisive at the best of times but what do you do when the tank runs off ahead but the DPSs decide to stay and defeat every single monster.

Who do I follow? Tank? DPS?

A crappy tank is only a problem in vet dungeons. Normal dungeons don’t even require tanks most of the time (or healers) unless the group is very inexperienced.

The biggest problem typically is people that sprint around, those nightblade that use a bow 600 yards from the fight, and dps that only use ring of the pale order and are confused why I’m not healing them in dungeons. That kinda stuff happens a lot more than having a legit tank that’s is really bad.

It depends on the dungeon and mode, but generally if the tank is dying too easily but the DDs are good, it's a less stressful scenario than the DDs being fake, because even if the tank keeps dying, assuming the DDs are decent and the mechanics of the fight are forgiving, they will kill the boss relatively fast (and good DDs can kite the boss and avoid heavies, while the tank is being rezzed, as well), before the group is wiped. On the other hand, if the DDs are slow and keep standing in the AoEs and dying, the fight will take ages, because there's only so much damage the tank and healer can pump out depending on their build, not to mention they will have to keep rezzing the DDs, and it will be a very drawn out fight, if it even gets completed.

This makes sense unless you’re in a vet DLC dungeon or anything difficult most of the time, unless your DDs are very experienced

Well, I saw 3 fake tank today. And, I gave up one of normal pledge.
So, I bring my real tank character. It's extremely time wasting.

How about put the automatic fake tank kick out system at the starting
location of the dungeon?

If tank can't survive damage durability test, then
system kick the fake tank from the group automatically.

I mean ima be real- im a pretty hard hitting dps, in the 115k range. I ALWAYS slot a heal or some damage mitigation in pugs. Always. You never know what you will get and you dont know if they healer will have to spend the whole time focusing on an unprepared tank. I might be an anomaly probably because 9/10 i still carry group dps by a wild margine regardless.

Oh, follow the 2 DDs. Get the loot and xp. If the tank is running ahead and he or she is a real tank then they can keep themselves alive till you get there but they won’t have killed much.

If they are a fake well they don’t think they need you anyway and either you’ll pick up their body in passing or they’ll quit and good riddance!

I mean i was in a vet dread cellar the other day and the tank.. he just could not manage and the dps were running everywhere. Ive tanked it. Its not super hard if you are set up correctly and know what to do but trying to heal like that is a nightmare.
