These are the ACTUAL Undaunted style pages that are currently dropping

As some might have noticed, the Undaunted Celebration 2023 event article detailing which monster style pages would be available this year omits some details. The September Crown Store Showcase article is also causing some confusion regarding the availability of the limited-time page, so I thought I would clarify my findings here.

First, some key mechanics for this event in general:
  • Regular non-Opal masks will drop from veteran non-HM runs. Having the associated veteran HM achievement increases this drop rate, but once you have the achievement, you do not need to complete veteran HM again.
  • Having the dungeon's associated HM achievement also increases the drop chance of the associated shoulder from the pledge vendor coffers (or you can buy with the 50-key specific purchase option).
  • Opal masks "have an increased chance to drop" from veteran HM runs. Whether this means they can still drop on veteran non-HM, I'm not sure, but given the relative ease of some of these dungeons, I feel you want to be doing veteran HM as much as possible if you're looking for Opal masks.
  • You can obtain an Opal mask without first having the regular version of that mask collected.
  • Opal shoulders can only be obtained once you have already obtained the corresponding non-Opal shoulder from the pledge vendor coffers.
  • Opal shoulders do not drop from the random 1-key or specific 5-key coffers - they only drop from the dedicated 25-key Opal coffer or the 50-key specific purchase option.
  • The three pledge vendors share the same Opal coffer. You can not just buy an Opal coffer from Urgarlag and hope to get just Velidreth or Lord Warden - it will drop all of them.

From my findings, there appear to be three further takeaways from this particular version of the event:
  1. Every mask that has an Opal variant is dropping throughout the entire event duration. The Crown Store Showcase article stated that the Blood Spawn and Velidreth Crown Store Arms Packs would be limited time, with the masks dropping at the same time. This is true for the Arms Packs (these are not currently available), but the masks themselves are dropping now, and you can purchase both the regular and Opal shoulders from their respective vendors.
  2. Every previous MASK OR SHOULDER that has dropped during an Undaunted Celebration event is also dropping in the 2023 event. This includes Chokethorn, Engine Guardian, Ilambris, Swarm Mother and Troll King.
  3. However, not every Opal weapon style is dropping from this event. This appears to be where the Undaunted Event Celebration article is most correct.

Below are the detailed breakdowns for each monster style mask.

Limited Time Styles - these do NOT have Opal variants.
  • Slimecraw - drops starting September 7th to September 11th. Mask from Wayrest Sewers I, shoulder from Maj. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available over the same period.
  • Tremorscale - drops starting September 7th to September 11th. Mask from Volenfell, shoulder from Glirion. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available over the same period.
  • Kra'gh - drops starting September 11th to September 14th. Mask from Fungal Grotto I, shoulder from Maj. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available over the same period.
  • Infernal Guardian - drops starting September 14th to September 19th. Mask from City of Ash I, shoulder from Glirion. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available over the same period.

Event-wide Styles - these DO have Opal Variants.
  • Bloodspawn - Mask from Spindleclutch II, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons do not drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available starting September 14th to September 19th.
  • Chokethorn - Mask from Elden Hollow I, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons do not drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Engine Guardian - Mask from Darkshade Caverns II, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons do not drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Iceheart - Mask from Direfrost Keep, shoulder from Glirion. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Ilambris - Mask from Crypt of Hearts I, shoulder from Glirion. Opal weapons do not drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Lord Warden - Mask from Imperial City Prison, shoulder from Urgarlag. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Nightflame - Mask from Elden Hollow II, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Sentinel of Rkugamz - Mask from Darkshade Caverns I, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers and are also available to buy from the Impressario for event tickets, along with the Opal mask and shoulder.
  • Swarm Mother - Mask from Spindleclutch I, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Troll King - Mask from Blessed Crucible, shoulder from Maj. Opal weapons do not drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers.
  • Velidreth - Mask from Cradle of Shadows, shoulder from Urgarlag. Opal weapons DO drop this year from the Undaunted event coffers. The associated Crown Store weapon styles will be available starting September 11th to September 14th.

Hope this helps, and happy farming!

This is probly the 4th time I have heard of this but no one has any substantiated links for backup, other than a video from some random you tuber which appears is posting wrong information. Where are people getting this information? It contradicts several longer term ESO content partners it make me wonder.

Actually the one not listed here - Kargaeda, which is also dropping till the end of the event, but is it's own thing. Coral Aerie remains a pretty solid dungeon and this is it's first time dropping, so I'd expect it to be valuable.

That aside, this is the first time Slimecraw, Tremorscale, Kra'gh and Infernal Guardian have been re-released since their initial release, so they could also be good options, but I think a lot of people would want to be farming these due to their rarity.

Sentinel of Rkugamz is relatively new, but the rest of the Opal masks were released last year, so I don't expect those to be expensive - except Iceheart, which for some reason people really seem to love (maybe the opal texture on the ice, or the symmetrical shoulders, I don't know, lol).

This is a screenshot of my loot from yesterday.

    Note:
    • Swarm Mother and Lord Warden regular masks, which were not mentioned by the Event article.
    • Opal Swarm Mother Opal mask, which was also not mentioned by the article.
    • Chokethorn Shoulder, which is an older returning style page, also not mentioned by the article.

I think maybe they just assumed that people knew the regular mask styles would drop alongside the stated Opal ones, which is fine, but they definitely didn't mention the older styles also returning with this event.

It seems very low. I'm at 2 drops from 40-50 dungeon runs that should be dropping styles. I suppose 1 in 20 doesn't seem so bad, but it makes farming all of the styles pretty unachievable for people with other time commitments. For me at least, each run is taking 10-15 minutes (including queue times and stopping to empty my inventory), so I'm averaging something like 4 hours of farming per drop, which feels kind of crazy.

Thank you! I've found conflicting information on this - it's been a rather confusing event. I've already gotten most of these opal masks and two of the regular variants, though I was unable to get the Slimecraw mask after about 30 runs - I did get the Sentinal of Rkugamz normal mask, however.

yeh that is very discouraging , myself and my Wife discovered we were getting more drops of Motifs and Weap styles from Normal dungeons than anything ( including mask ) drops in Vet HM , litle to no rewards but better rewards from normal runs , seems a bit backwards and disappointing imo :(

I really appreciate the effort that went into this community post. Thank you!
For something that takes so much time, and has such a low drop rate, I really wish the devs would be very clear about what possibly drops when. I hate the confusion that comes this event that has so many limited-time rewards that require so much time to try getting.

Just as a follow-up, here's my current drop table for all of the dungeon runs I recorded over the event (plus Kargaeda immediately prior to it starting). A lot of this data is incomplete (I've not ran every dungeon during the event, and some of the data is extremely skewed), but assuming that all of the masks have the same drop rate, the aggregate value is roughly 4-5% per player, per run.

Whether this assumption is correct is debatable (I've got a decent dataset for Kra'gh for example, and that seems much lower) but given how it would probably be more work for ZOS to code separate drop chances for each style, I'm going to assume they all have the same drop rate.
