Bound Aegis not active when having it on back-bar

Bound Armor:
This ability and its morphs now grant their passive bonuses on both bars while slotted, rather than only the bar they are actively slotted on.

I tested it on my mag sorcerer. After putting Bound Aegis on my backbar I wasn't receiving the +8% magicka nor was I receiving the Minor Resolve.
My resistances were exactly the same as before slotting it on my backbar as was my magicka.

Are you wearing oakensoul? If so, that's why.* My buffs seem to be working fine as my magicka only differed by like 1k swapping bars, but I didn't look into it all that much.

Edit: I logged in to check and yes, I am getting minor resolve on both bars and I assume the +8% magicka as well as my backbar is a .5k difference, likely due to sets.

"Fixed an issue where slotted passive effects that persisted through bar swap, such as Grim Focus, could benefit targets under the influence of Oakensoul or Werewolf."

Ok, so that is why... well, then ZOS should edit the ability description because that is seriously misleading and plain wrongly written in the ability.

It isn't misleading at all, but logical. Oakensoul disables your second bar, so of course you can't use this bar to buff your stats.

Seems zos identified the exploitability of their changes and fixed the issue in time, doesn't it?

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

Sometimes Minor Protection is active and sometimes it's not. I swapped some skills around between front and backbar and Minor Protection showed up, then it disappeared a few minutes later.

Not sure what's going on here but it's definitely buggy.

Pretty sure you have to actively cast Bound Aegis to get the Minor Protection. It is not passively active just for slotting.

They changed it. You don't have to cast it anymore to get Minor Protection. Also I'm pretty sure the issue had to do with the Armory Assistant because as soon as I reslotted Bound Aegis and saved my profile to the Armory, the issue went away. I can now switch Armory profiles and I always have Minor Protection passively just from slotting Bound Aegis on either bar.

Bound Aegis is STACKED now. Here's what you get.

    Active
    • 40% block mitigation (active skill)
    Passive
    • Minor Protection
    • Minor Resolve
    • 8% Max Magicka
    • 8% Max Health from Expert Summoner passive
    • 20% Health Recovery from Daedric Protection passive
    • 20% Stamina Recovery from Daedric Protection passive

It's really good on a Stam Sorc PvP brawler and Sorc PvP Healer.
