Prizes for gems

One thing that could improve crown crates is to give us the option to exchange any prizes for gems. Currently you can only get gems from duplicates and consumables.

Sometimes I get costumes or hats that I know I will never use, but there are things costing gems that I really want.

But that wouldn't force you to keep buying in order to increase the small chance you can get that one thing you want.

    Working as intended, sadly.

Currently I just buy less crates in fear that I will get stuff I dont already have and dont want rather than things I can trade for gems to get things I want.

Im just letting ZOS know how to get me to buy more crates. If they think whales buying more crates makes them more money than me buying more, then they should keep doing what they are doing.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have bought several crates over the years, and may again in the future, however the only way for ZOS to ensure that I do is to apply this practice. More people would BECOME crate purchasers, and in my opinion, this system would be more profitable for them, as more often than not, your average ESO player would be purchasing crates to fund the gems needed for the items they want, versus the system we have now where whales are buying substantially more crates than the average player.

What makes them more money, 1 whale spending $2000 or 1000 normal players spending $10? ZOS isn't too interested in doing math.

I see free gacha games with less aggressive pricing.
